Ok everyone needs to stop being so nice... where are all the ignorant people? I love debating this issue... no one has ever given me a good reason why gay people should not be parents. Probably because a good reason dosent exist. Ill play devils advocate though... many people would think the kids will grow up to be gay. How then, do you explain all the gay kids who are raised by heterosexual couples? My boyfriend was raised right wing republican, strict roman catholic. His upbringing obviously wasnt enough to change who he was inside... a gay man.... much to the dissapointment of his family. If someone is gay, they are gay. If they are straight, they are straight. And there is NOTHING a parent can do either way to change that. Ill be watching this thread closely... this could be alot of fun.

There are a very many children in dire need of a good and loving home. I don't think it matters what gender your partner is provided you can offer a stable home to a child in need. We need more good adoptive homes. Especially for special needs and older children. Too often this group of children gets lost in the foster home cycle, with out ever knowing a loving family. We should bring down the barriers between children and homes, not put them up.

What a relief...I saw the headline and thought it was going to be yet another anti-gay rant....good for you. I don't care who adopts kids as long as they are bringing them into a loving stable environment...something kids need more than anything else. I'm sure you're going to see a number of responses here saying no and that the kids will grow up to be gay which, as any sane person knows, is absolute nonsense.

why not? I mean they can provide them with love, a nurturing, stable environment, that is what children need right? I do not see why not. I am also a straight parent, and I have seen many families that are straight and some that are gay...As long as the needs of the child are met, anyone should be able to adopt =)

I really dont have any problems with gays doing things that all men and women want to do. If they want to adopt children, that wont be a problem for me. It just shows that they want to share affection to those who need one. And i know a lot of gay men who show more attention and affection to children that female and male parents. :)
