Are you curious about your fellow mylotters?

As my friends share their discussions and I response and have some interaction with them I do indeed learn about them. How they word their sentences and the information that does come out over time. It is amazing at the knowledge that can grow with the contact on this site. I stick with my friends topics and cannot help but to get to know them as time goes by.

I love learning about the firends and their cultures especially from other Countries. I feel I have gotten to "know" quite a few of my friends having chats with them and exchanging email letters etc. So I try to get to know some of my friends here. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Sometimes I do, I check on their profile, check where they live. I also check their responses and discussions and sometimes I do get an idea of one's personality by just reading them. I like to keep posting but sometimes I can't help but get a little curious, specially when I like the discussion or response posted by this person.

I would like to get to know more about others. But in a venue like this, you can only go so far. It simply isn't the same as face to face. You could have 100 superficial friendships on here in the same time it takes to cultivate one true friendship in real life. People come and go one here like the wind and you never know who will be here from one week to the next. I do pick random discussions to reply to when I have time.

I've got a few users here at Mylot that I really like (an trust)but am comfortable with the way things are here and don't know that I'd want to actually meet anyone. That's nothing to do with anyone, it's just my hang-up. This is a comfortable setting for me to "talk" but I get very nervous when I have to meet new people. I don't feel that online which is good for me.

I enjoy getting to know the people on my friends list...some of them, of course, I know better than others.. I enjoy answering some other people's discussions sometimes too...

I think it would be interesting to find out about how others live. I would not care to get into personal lives too much. If someone has a personal question or asks for advise on a subject I have some interest or knowledge I would be glad to voice my view. But I do like to have general discussion about a wide variety of topics.

I am curious about those close to me. I wish that some would just go away though. But those are the griefers and the troublemakers. You know the ones who just come here to make trouble/?. They aren't the majority though and usually they get wiped out. I do prefer to stick to the topics on hand.

Of course I want to know deeper the lives of other mylotters specially those who requested me as friend. But I just depend on reading their profiles and some send me a message to ask some of my details. Though it's much easier to state who we are online still some of us is hesitant to reveal her real identity and we have to respect that.

Nope...I'm definitely not here just for discussions to respond to or post myself...I've gotten to know quite a number of MyLotters very personally, and I do feel as though I know many people here on a one to one basis and I feel that many are like my extended family :-)

Yeah, I would love to know all mylotters here even their personal lives if possible...but I know it would take time truly to be able to gather personal infos about them here.

I think I like mylot for all of these reasons, getting to know people personally without getting to know people personally. Somethimes the less personal reasons are fine as well. It allows a freedom that I dont find in normal day to day.

I love getting new friends here but honestly speaking, I don't really prefer to know their daily personal life. But if any of my friends here do wish to know me personally, they are most welcomed!

Myself. I just read the discussion or news events and respond. I am a newbie and this is all new to me. What I don't want is a chat room. I don't think I would be interesting material for a chat room as I am an old married man who is retired and living on his pension and social security. But I have had a lot of experiences and I just relate to these discussions..but I don't think I want to learn the personal lives as then things could get complicated. My son ruined a marriage over a chat room..but not everyone does this but it had to start somewhere. So I just go to mylot as it is better then Yahoo..as the people there get very mean sometimes..ok...have a nice day..Miamilady...hot enough for you?

As much as I want to know so much about everyone here, it is going to be a little bit hard to make that happen somehow. So, I just rely on their discussions to know a little bit about how they think.

Hello Miamilady, Ya' know, you ask a very interesting question! This on-line world is so far removed from our real worlds. Yet, in some ways it'a parallel microscosm. I find that some folks I sense a genuine connection with. And, wonder if we'd met in real life, might we be close friends. Although, even in the online world -- that kind of connection is pretty rare. Then, there are many interesting, unique, stimulating people who are wonderful acquaintances. Just like in the real world. We like them very much, yet don't really know them well, and probably never will. And then, there's the last group. Who also parallel the real world. There are some that ya' just don't want to know any better. And, fortunately, they are few and far between!

All of the above that's what make it fun.

i find that this site is so interesting because of all the different countries and areas that people are from. i love to just sit and read these discussions because you almost forget that people are different, and we are not all thinking the same thoughts. very enlightening!

A bit of both. I don't really mind if i don't make very close friends in mylot but I am interested in where they live, and their lives etc. Some of those on my friends list express a lot about their lives through their discussions, some I find interesting and similar to what my life is like.

I am quite curious about other mylotters. I would like to know the countries they are from, there ages and the likes. That is why I usually check out their profiles to get more information about them. Looking at there photos too help in this regards. I think this is a very exciting community of people from all over the world sharing ideas.
