Do you know anything about this doll?

Red and white Dolly - found at a church rummage sale, appears to be baseball related. brown short hair and red cap.

This is a doll I found at a church rummage sale and thought she would be nice to sell on Ebay. Well I cannot find out anything about this doll other than she is made by Animal Fair which was closed and Princess toys has control. She is possibly a Cereal Mascot doll. I have emailed Princess toys and have not received an answer. I hope you had one once and can tell me if she has a name or anything else. Thanks in advance.

It looks like she may be a Campbell soup doll. I hope you can find out more info on her, I'll try to do more research too, that's my first guess though, I think there was both a boy and girl doll. I hope this helps, let me know what you find out. Good luck!

I too have searched as well as my daughter has. The only other things are stuffed animals. So we are stymied as to why there is no record of this doll. I too thought there could be a male or it was male since it has short hair. The face did remind me of Campbell's soup. So I appreciate you taking a minute to look for information for me. I would have no idea of how much to ask for her either. Thanks for responding here.

Check out Campbell kids on ebay, I saw a couple that look similar to yours (probably not dating back as far as yours), one's a plush character magnet, they seem to be selling them for around $10, a collector would probably love to have it.I hope this helps too.

That's definitely a Campbell Kid :) Check out the "C" ... that's Campbell's. I couldn't find a doll online yet that looks exactly the same as yours but I found other cloth dolls (baseball outfits, a chef outfit...) and they also made vinyl dolls. I found out there's a book on Amazon.com for Campbell's collectibles, in case you're interested... here's a link: http://www.amazon.com/Campbells-Soup-Collectibles-Price-Identification/dp/0873416031 I'll keep trying to find a picture too! Hopefully, someone locates a match :D Good luck!!

Couldn't tell if it was a c or e on the chest. I will head to the library and see if they have that book. Might really help. I have searched all of ebay and thus far nothing like this one. Thanks so much for trying to help and responding.

Hmmmmmm. That looks like a Campbell Soup kid to me. There were a lot of pre-printed-fabric doll patterns in the late forties and fifties. You'd send in labels or box tops and some postage to get the pattern. You'd then sew and stuff the doll yourself. Some may have had special clothing patterns for the dolls too, but I'm not so sure about that. Anyway, I'm sure there's SOMEONE on Ebay who'd just love that doll!! Good luck!

This doll does not appear to be homemade from a pattern. She appears to be factory made. She does have an outfit on and it is separate however doesn't come off. Thanks for the encouragement and response here to this discussion!

I believe that you have the campbell soup boy doll and he might be from the early to mid 50's good luck with the ebay thing If they are not selling for much you would be better off finding someone that is into the campbell things you might get more from them then from ebay. Hugs!
