I always need to stretch right after I wake up. It really perks me up~! Sometimes when I forget, I feel sluggish throughout the whole day. What about you? Is it a ritual for you or do you just happen to stretch not consciously thinking about it?

I don't stretch right away when I get out of bed. I usuall stretch when I have a certain "feeling" in my back. It's not really a pain, more like a little twinge to let me know I need to stretch. Funny, right after I started answering your post, I actually stretched. I guess because I am responding here, I am more aware of actually doing it.

No I usually dont. But I've seen many people do it. I guess it's more of a habit.

Hmm.. I just realized that I don't stretch right after I wake up.. but maybe I do it RARELY. I just get off from bed, wash my face, eat breakfast, go to my computer, den my day starts. Or even at school days.. ,

Hehe.. you're not the only one Superfluous~! There's a lot that don't really realize it~! I used to be like that too, until I made it a point to stretch due to my inflexibility! :P

i stopped stretching ever since that one time a few weeks ago, when i stretched right after waking up and sprained my back.. somewhere near my left shoulder blade and it ached for days after. So, i try not to. Mom told me that it happened because i haven't been exercising. Maybe that's it. But no more stretching for me.. but i could feel my baby stretching all the time. Makes me wanna pee.. hahahaha!!

I jump after waking up. That's because the first thing I do when I open my eyes is to look at the time. I would then rush through the morning routine before ending up in office. I do stretch before I go to bed though.

I don't always stretch, but when I do it's not normally right after I wake up. It usually takes a good half hour before I feel like I have to stretch. I don't usually think about it...unless my husband comments on me stretching. ;)

Sometimes, when I had a good sleep, my body just automatically stretches, I guess that's from habit. It really feels good and kind'a tunes your body to be prepared for anything that you might do for the day. Then there are times when I simply forget to stretch, when I just woke up and have to hurry to go somewhere and other things that need urgent attention. I often forget to take stretches at those times. Then, I also do stretches when on bus rides, some twists and arm stretches and if I'm at the middle of the bus or anywhere with space, I'd stretch my legs a bit too. bus rides often get long..
