I am curious if any guitar virtuoso here names their guitars. I haven't named my guitar though but it will be interesting to know your guitar's/s' name.

I personally don't play the guitar... I'm not a very musical person. However, my boyfriend plays guitar and he has 2 of them - one is an Epiphone something or other (I don't know the name of it) and he also has an acoustic guitar. He named the electric guitar 'Siobhan' (which I believe is a Scottish name) because he thought it was a sexy name, and he says that all guitars are female (just like cars...) We haven't got round to naming the acoustic guitar yet, but I'm thinking about suggesting the name Sheila... strange how people find the need to name inanimate objects :o)

well it is mostly true that men generally treats their gears(guitars, cars, whatever) as women. single men even treats them jokingly as their girlfriends. it is cool that your boyfriend got into naming his guitar. i think naming guitars is pretty neat.

I named my orange bass dreamsicle. It goes perfect for the type of music I like to listen to (everything). I think it's good to name guitars, it gives them a sort of... uniqueness.
