A Funeral On Your Birthday

Hi there my friends, I found out that a longtime friend of mine passed away today and her funeral will be held this Saturday, 6-23-07 which is her birthday. This is very rare, you don't hear of many people being funeralized on their birthday. The family said it will be fitting because this will be a final celebration of her life. Have any of you ever attended a funeral on the deceased person's birthday?

thats a very sad thing u have said here .... Well i have never come across such a situation in my life ... but i read in a newspaper that a man married in front of his mother's body coz it his mother's wish to see him married so he decided to marry on that fateful day so that his mother's soul would atleast feel better. Was very touching ..:(

While that may have been touching, I've never heard of getting married in front of the deceased. If the family was ok with that then I suppose it was a fitting thing to do. Thanks for your response.

me,i havnt attended any one like that but, i have observed that there are some who die on the day of their birth date..

When I first starting reading this I though OMG not much thought put into that but when I thought about it they are right it is fitting, especially that my thought is that there is something better after it is a very fitting thing, a celebration for her birthday and new journey...
