I'm engaged to a 35 years old Korean guy who's a scuba diving instructor in one of the diving shop here in Cebu. My father wants to meet him because he wants to know the guy, well, of course! I'm afraid of what the outcome will be after they've meet. I'm afraid that my father will disapprove him. He's a very good guy and so far I don't see anything wrong with him. We've been living together for a month and he wants to marry me. I do love him and I don't want to lose him. He's someone whom I want to spend my whole life with. Even though we can't communicate very well because he knows only little English we both understand each other in a very special way.
What can I do to make my father approve him for marrying me? My father is arriving soon from Saudi. How would I open up to my father about my boyfriend?

Make sure your father knows how much you love him and what he means to you. I think your father will be glad you found someone who will treat you right, and you need to let him know he is a good guy! Don't worry too much about it :) Think positive

If you don't speak much than you shouldn't worry too much about what he thinks. You love this guy, he loves you...that's all that matters. Just remember when you marry him you will have a happy life together. And even if you father is happy about it at first, one day in the future he will realize that this guy gave you a great life, and he will appreciate that. Even if your fathre is strict and away a lot, he loves you, and only wants the best for you.
