No, these books are not pathetic, none of them. What happens is that they grow with Harry. With every year, Harry and his friends grow in understanding, they are getting adult. Also the 5th book draws more than the others on the fight against evil, a "magic resistence movement", and this Order of Phoenix truly has some ressemblance to Great Britains' MI5 or Control. I liked it very much, as I did also "The Prisoner of Azkaban".

I found the character of Dolores Umbridge spoiled Order of the Phoenix. In particular, that she was allowed to get away with so much loathesome behavior. It was frustrating to read at times.

i really love each and every book of harry potter and i think that JKR is truelly brilliant. But the thing with the 5th book is that ...its start is very dull and boring...every reader gets pucked by the time they reach hogwarts ..and the incidents hapening prior to it are also not that great.. But i liked the end of the book a lot..and also the cute little romance in between ...among cho-harry ..also ron-hermione. So if u see 5th book for me is my least favourite book..i still like it though. the best book for me has to be 6th ...coz i just simply loved it ...every page and every chapter has some level of thrill or excitement in it.

I agree with you that the 5th book was different, but I still liked it a lot, and I definitely wouldn't call it or any of the other books pathetic. But I do have to say my least favorite was Chamber of Secrets. It was still an excellent book, but having to deal with everyone being afraid of Harry for such a long period of time after they found out he was a parselmouth was psychologically grueling on me... haha
