I'm on about hour 20 of a Migraine that started yesterday. I hate them. They used to be VERY rare for me. I even get the aura sometimes. But they are debillitating for me. I don't know why I get them, but I should have stayed home today. I am miserable. What do you do to help treat your migraine and make it go away? I've been sucking down acetaminophin and ibuprofen all day today. Sigh.

I get a migraine when I am very stressed out. The last time I got a migraine I could not sleep. I was in so much pain that I was in tears. I took 500mg of mottrin and within about 15 minutes, I laid down to go to sleep.

When I get my migraines I'm no good for about three days and all I can do is vomit and stay in a dark room between bathroom visits. I try to sip Gengerale to control the vomiting. Those headaches are nasty.

whoops I'm a lot of help forgot to mention my doctor has me on two types of medication I alternate. Maxalt is what I use when its bad and Topiramate is what I used to prevent the headaches. This is new meds for me and they seem to be working. Good luck.

I used to get them off and on. Have not had one is a while, knock on wood. I do drink more water now and know when I am beginning to get a headache, yes I get regular ones too, I take ibuprofin as soon as I can. The earlier the lesser the headache. Also despite all the stress I have now I am much more relaxed and take a bit better care of myself. I do not eat chocolate often and never drink coffee. Pop is also at a minimum and in the middle of alot of water. I hope you get over this soon and that you have very long intervals between this one and the next. Take care!

I'm sorry to hear that my friend. I used to suffer from then too, but touchwood I haven't had one for awhile and I'm hoping I don't for awhile. I normally can't do anything :) ~Joey P.s I wouldn't like that..

Since I have been transitioning to a vegan diet, I haven't had a migraine or any other headache in months. I hope that information helps.
