lets leave GOD out of the picture in this discussion. if someone told you that last night a robber snuck in and came into your home, didnt find what he was looking for and left. you would require proof or evidence that this really happend. if someone told you that your wife/husband is cheating on you, you would defiantly look for evidence. if someone told you that there is a leprachan and a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, you would need evidence for that too. if someone told you aliens have come to earth, you would need evidence for that too. if someone told you a zombie had resurrected from death, you would need evidence for that as well however, if someone told you that some guy was resurrected from death, or that the creator of the universe wrote a book, or that you go to 2 places after you die or that a guy walked on water or that a virgin gave birth, somehow, people don't need evidence for that. why is that?

You are way to funny with all this religion talk. It is obvious that you would like to knw for sure for sure if God is who he says he is! Well you first have to ask yourself do I really want to know the truth? Am I seeker of the truth? Do I love truth? Can I handle the truth? What will I do if the truth is revealed to me? Will I deny the truth? Will I accept the truth? Well I say no to the truth or will I say yes to the truth? When you ask yourself those questions truthfully you can then sincerely ask the Holy Spirit to reveal Jesus to you and it shall be done!

thats really logical.. when i meant religious i meant that i loved and prayed to god, and it does not matter if jesus is god or god is jesus, god would have accepted it anyway. THROUGH LOGIC i came out of it

Fighter you said - i used to be religious, then i asked myself all these questions and became an agnostic because i didnt know, overtime i understood atheism and accepted it. Let me start with I use to be religious, that was your first mistake right there. What you needed was a personal relationship with Jesus! Yes I said personal relationship. He is a living God you know. Secondly you asked yourself all these questions and became agnostic because I didn't know! That is right you didn't know because you didn't know Jesus; you were religious! If you knew Jesus believe me you wouldn't walk away. As a matter of fact the bible says if you walk away you never knew me! He is there for the asking. He sent the Holy Spirit to take his place on this earth and all you have to do is ask the Holy Spirit to make Jesus real to you! It is not his will that anyone should parish but to have everlasting life! God is a good God, He is a friend who sticks closer then a brother, He is a God that cannot tell a lie as he is the God of truth, he is truth! He says I will never leave you nor forsake you! Can't beat that! I know I need someone like that in my life, who else can give that, who else can live up to that but God!

Carrots - A picture of carrots.
Well I'm not sure I'd use the word gullible. I think brainwashed is a more appropriate term. All those stories got started so long ago and people keep telling them to their children and most of the children believe them because they trust their parents. The parents don't know any better because it's what they were taught as a child. So the whole cycle of brainwashing continues until a person with more intelligence decides that they don't believe any of it and starts looking for the truth. ~Kythe42 http://lemurianphoenix.blogspot.com

I don't think that the fact that someone is religious means he's gullible per se. Fanatics or people who are eager to believe in a certain thing are gullible, because anything said that goes in the same direction to those thoughts will be eagerly accepted by them. But religious or not, any person with a minimal common sense is not gullible.

i think that yeah, when it comes to religion people believe things that are clearly mythical, but well what matters is what lies beyond those symbols...anyway i'm with you, im too rational to believe that and some people take it literally..no matter how weird it is for us.
