Sunday and Darren took him walking yesterday- so far no limping (knock on wood) lets hope he stays that way.
I must say how happy he was to be out though, I think he thought he was being punished since we couldn't take him anywhere. He and Shammy had such fun in the pool - they are too funny when it comes to swimming.

you should have seen his face everyday when my husband would come home and he would run to the door excited to go for a walk and my husband would tell him no...he would hang his head and walk away- it broke my heart.
On Sunday I said - you want to go swimming?? and he started dancing and singing and running to the front door.

I`m glad he didn`t need surgery , and that he`s feeling better ...
Surgery is way too expensive for animals ...

I am glad that Buca is still doing okay. Like someone else said, swimming should be good for him. Its easier on the joints for humans so it would make sense that it would be for a dog too.

Oh that is great news- Buca is doing well- and he isn't being punished anymore- or so he thinks that was it- : ) I bet he had a ball swimming and just being outside- after being cooped up indoors and really not getting alot of exercise- So glad that he looks good -- so no surgery- keeping fingers crossed!

So glad to hear he is doing a little better.
My dog loves to swim.
I have a friend and her dog just had spine surgery and she has the dog at the vet hospital. It has been there two weeks now. I feel so sorry for her. She doesn't have kids and this is her baby. I ask her everyday how her baby is. Yesterday she said the dog "Mandy" finally pottied. So she is hoping to take her home by the weekend. But the dog hasn't walked much yet. So I am still worried for her.

Yes we are thankful....I will say a prayer for your friends dog- I know how hard it is to have them be away from you at the vet- my last dog was in and out with his pancreas and ended up with diabetes and we would have to leave him sometimes - (I hated that).

That was probably very good for him. They use swimming as therapy for a multitude of human ailments so I think it would also benefit animals.

Oh, it's good to hear that he is feeling better. And I can understand the poor soul thought he was being punished:-(( Hope he continues to make a good recovery.
