New discussions don't count????

You do get a point once you recieve a response for that discussion.You dont get points for each response you recieve for that discussion but once you recieved that first response you recieve credit.

NO you are not supposed to get credit for posting a new discussion ,the no represents the no of discussions you replied to , not new posts or add comments , they will contribute to your earnings,Happy posting.

As soon as someone responds to your discussion, only then do you receive the point for that discussion. If you start 20 discussions, you need a response for each one in order to get the 20 points for the 20 discussions. Watch your points carefully the next time you post a discussion then receive a response to it. You'll see what I mean.

I agree with the other two responses, plus I wanted to add that your points will drop if your discussion or one you responded to gets deleted for some reason. Happy posting!

They do count, don't worry about it. I once replied to 20 discussions thats about 40 cents then I made 5 discussions and the next day I had a little over 54 cents, so you do earn, the number only changes to discussions replied to.

No, you do not get points for starting a discussion. I do not know if you have to get one or two answers, then you get a point. You do not get points if you start discussions that nobody answers. So basically my answer gets you the point.

I think there is no addition in number for starting new discussions. But our earning will definitely get affected. As many members will reply on our topic and we will also make back comment. This will fetch cents for us as well as participating members. Starting new discussions helps in increasing our earning, my observation is this. By this you become popular also. Many friends come to know you. By starting new discusions you receive many responses which may be having good extra knowledge. Thus lot of benefits are there, do not mind for number increasing.
