My lovely walk today

Well I had my usual walk in the Field today with Gissi
As it was so lovely and warm I told Gissi we are walking it twice I don't think he was to happy but obliged, actually he has been a very good Boy today
So of we go again for the second round, I was actually enjoying the slow walk and the Sun, even though my Hip was hurting, I just did not want to go back in the House yet. Gissi is charging in front of me as he does. I caught Sight of this lovely Butterfly, it was flying from one flower to another and I was mesmerized by it,so as I walking I am watching this beautiful Creature. Well ......... next thing I know I am on the Floor in a lot of Pain with my Leg and my Hip, as I was so busy watching Nature I did not see the hole
Normally Gissi and me walk on the Pathways on the Field but I decided that the second time round we where actually walking through the high Grass well no one told me there was holes there I mean that was the first time I walked that way with Gissi and the Butterfly was Gorgeous and ...... well never mind
There is me sitting there shouting Gissi as I could not see him, he comes barging through the Grass to find me and then he just stands there looking at me, I am sure the little Devil was shaking his head, lol. I got up and we carried on walking, but I kept my eyes on the ground while we where heading back for the Path and I think I will stay with the Path in future there are no holes there

Aww my dear gabs im sorry to hear that. I hope you're feeling fine now and I bet Gissi feel nervous during that event, I'm just thankful that you manage to get out yourself from there and can walk normally still despite from such. Take care hun.

Well, Gabs, are you really sore now? I have had it happen that a fall would straighten out another kink in my back or my leg. I hope that not much more than your dignity is hurt. In the states people my age grew up on the TV show Lassie, where the hero would say to the dog, "I'm hurt girl, go get help." in an agonized whisper, and the dog would oblige. Have you taught Gissi that trick, to go get help? I am glad you did not need help to get back home. Here is a hug, so you will feel better.

I know I shouldn't laugh at you but if there is a hole or a step or a pavement to trip over ,as sure as fate you will find it , I am pleased you had a good day and yes I am sure gissie would be standing shaking his head and thinking " Oh my God I can't take this woman anywhere but she falls over " , never mind he loves you and so do we bur please be careful pal xx

Lololol well I have been good for a while and I guess I had to start the Age 46 the same way I lived the age 45 hehehehe
It hurt but I am ok I think lol what with the exercises and that whats a bit more Pain lol
I kno the exercises help the fall doesn't lol
But honest I did not do it on Purpose that Butterfly was so lovely how was I to know there was a hole there lol

LoL Awwww Gabs I hope you didnt get hurt. Im sorry but I did laugh. Because the way you explained Gissi looking at you was too funny. And sounds like he is very protective of you too. Because when you called him he came running. Now listen be careful.

Gabs no more lovely walks for you girl friend.
What a thing to do I bet now your hip will be really sore tomorrow. Please be careful you have too many freinds who love hearing from you and miss you when you have to stay in bed.
Sorry this happened. When I was reading your post when I got to your fall I said "Damn" to myself she cannot get a break, the I realized what I said and I decided I did not want you to get that kind of a break. LOL

i hope you take your mobile with you on your walks and I am so glad it was not worse for you. sorry, I know my walking stick is ugly and you do like your kitten heels, but honestly, it really DOES help you to keep your balance when there is uneven ground.
I felt stupid when I first used my stick and I was certain everyone was looking at me, but then I realised they still knocked me flying and ran their shopping trolleys into me, so I had remained invisible after all, and so will you.

Flip flops don't protect your feet against glass etc!
A stout stick to lean on is always good and whether you fell down a hole or lost your balance a stick could still have helped you keep on your feet.
Sorry, you need a walking stick.

Well - looks like something else snuck up on you. You got pavement endings just popping up out of nowhere, doors that move while your eyes are closed to bop you one, among a few. At least the trees, lamp posts, other cars & pedestrians haven't jumped out in front of you while you were driving.
Oh - yeah - Gizmo was just wondering what you were doing NOT on your feet. If he knew better, he would have found some way to help you back on your feet.
Anyway, watch out for that coffee table that likes to move around in front of your walking path.

My most memorable walking stumble I had was - uh - some time in the previous century. The morning temperature (actually - it was almost at this time of the year) started to increase, & I was joking with her that the temperature picked up because of her presence. She went & removed her pull-over sweater while we were walking. Right after she got her sweater off, she looked at me like my avatar, & a split-second, I found out why she was looking at me like that when I ended up walking into a tree.

Next week I am doing the long drive to go and see the Kids again lol and yes I will watch out for the trees Lamp posts and that when they walk out in front of me lol

Oh Gabs – I’m sorry that you fell over, and I hope you didn’t hurt yourself too much. I’m always doing things like that though – not concentrating, and not thinking about what I’m doing or where I’m going. Think it comes from being another “Blonde bimbo” like you! LOL! Take care!

Now what did I tell you about paying attention to where you're going, young lady? I know....the hole jumped in your way just like the curb did at the market! That's what happened, darn it! (I KNOW you're sticking your tongue out at me right now!) LOL I hope your hip is not too painful after your fall. I think more than Gissi shaking his head is going to be the Physiotherapist shaking HIS head at you. No more walking on grass for you. Please do be more careful hon.

Oh goodness, Gabs. I hope you are alright. I love the butterflies also. I enjoy walking the dogs. But in the future, you should stay on the path at least until your hip gets better. No more hiking in the high grasses for you. I am glad Gissi stayed right with you. If you had needed more help, Gissi could bark and throw a fit until someone could get to you. Also, you should carry your cell phone with you just in case an emergency were to happen to you. Please be very careful. Hopefully the rest of the day goes a lot better.

Oh.. I love the sight of a butterfly at any color, mezmerizes me also lol. I'm just glad that you're ok now. Do be careful my friend, I know Gissi loves you so much and i think what he's thinking was "What should i do, if i'm only human i would help my mommy up" lol (crazy me lol...) but i think animals also have feelings like us, specially gissi who have you as his owner, you treat him like your very own child. Lucky Gissi!!!

Good Gissi, see how he cares for you-he may have nodded his head but I know if he could he would have helped you out of the hole. I hope gabs you didn't hurt yourself much. Be careful where you walk. watch the path also for uneven patches. Be careful next time. Wish you a speedy recovery.

Gabs, my friend, I think I know you well enough by now to know that you wear entirely the wrong footwear for walking in a field of high grass. There are always holes and ruts in fields and I think you ought to invest in a pair of trainers now, for walking the rougher terrain as well as in the rain. I like to walk through grass and poppies too, but I wouldn't do it unless I was wearing shoes which supported my feet and my balance.
Do be careful... I can't have you injuring yourself more, especially on the day it was. As for Gissi, he probably thought you were playing a game of hide and seek with him. He's a cutie!

How dare that hole move into the path of everyone's favourite blondie!!! It isn't fair!
Gabs, please keep an eye on where you are walking, and keep to the path. As for Gissi, he probably thought you were playing games with him.
Actually Gabs, I had a fall myself in New Zealand. We were walking back to the car after a meeting and walked round the back of the car to get in the other side. No one told me there was a kerb along the back! Over I went in the mud! I wasn't hurt, but I had to wash and iron my uniform before another meeting the next morning.
At least you were able to keep walking and apparently no damage was done. Keep to the path next time.

deary me gabs, I hope you are not hurt too badly. It's a good thing you seem to have no trouble getting up...you could have twisted your ankle.
My knees no longer work so if I am down for some reason it's extremely difficult for me to get back up. I usually have to crawl most painfully till I find something I can sit on, then I have to somehow urge myself to get up. A block and tackle would come in handy. You should see me trying to get out of the car....getting out of the bath is worse...lol.

I hope you are ok though I must say that it is a funny story it reminds me of the time mu cousin fell evey one was laughing until we realized that her foot was broken then all face turned straight after she got out when she was fine then the lol started again even she was laughing

You really need to be more careful and take better care of yourself!! ("mum nag" there!)
I like watching the butterflies as well.
In my garden at the moment we appear to have a family of magpies in the tree at the bottom. I love to sit inmy house watching them through the window.... no holes to fall down there (haha)!
Nature has some lovely sights to show us if we just take the time to look!
