I Love my old clothes. They are so comfortable and warm. I'm always looking for my Old coat, or shoes. What about you?

I just got rid of a bunch of older clothes on this move. I donated the good ones, so it wasn't that they went to waste, but I think I might be grieving for them because I sure miss them now for some reason. I had a flannel nightgown once that I loved and wore until it was so thin that the fabric started ripping. It's time had come and I had to toss it. Now that was a comfortable, warm article of clothing. I'd like to have another one just like it..Whit

One of my favorite pull-over shirts was purchased at a Donny-brook sale. when I picked it up I thought it was one I'd never wear. After I washed it and tried it on I realised what a brilliant buy it had been!

I like used clohes better than new. Every spring I go to a huge Donnybrook sale to buy clothes by the lb. $2.00 will buy all I can carry.

Well I am kind of a diva about clothes. I will wear something a few times then I am sick of it. Since I grgew out of Juniors size clothes I have had the hardest time finding jeans that fit me let alone jeans I actually like. Anyways, I give my old clothes to Goodwill or our City Mission.

I bought my first Pair of Jeans in Alberta in 1953. Jeans were a fairly new idea then. Perhaps that's why some jeans are called "Western Jeans." For many years there were no womens Jeans. But now women love their Jeans as much as men do.

It is strange that you like old clothes. But I use to replace my old clothes with newly introduced fashion. I want to look like special and for this purpose I use to replace my old fashioned clothes with new fashioned clothes. I try to distribute my old clothes among needy people of my place. Or try to recycle them to make them useable again.

some of my most valued clothes are so old that they have become fashionable again. My boys are always asking me for "that old shirt you're never going to wear again." some times I will give it, but usually I just explain that I love that old shirt too much to part with it.

Yes i agree. I love my old clothes. I hardly ever throw out old clothes. Up until recently that is. I had to get rid of some of my old clothes because i didnt have enough room in my closet.

Reminds me of Imelda Marcos, first lady of the Phillipines who fled the country in 1986 because of an uprising. She left behind 1220 pairs of shoes.

i still keep the old ones.. i know i can use them once in a while even i got new ones.. and, some of my VERY old clothes i give it to the poor.. in school, we donate our old things, specially clothes, to street children and poor people who were victims of calamities.. it's our way of helping them..

Donating old but usable clothing to the underpriviledged is a wonderful way to go!

My old t shirts I save them up and give them to my mum as they make great dusters and floor cloths, with my old coats I give to my cousin who doesn't have much money to wear, other items if they are not too worn I will take to my local charity shop which is usually for Cancer, otherwise they go in the bin or get used for gardening.

I am always cleaning out. I give all my older clothes to cherity, if they are in excellent condition. If they aren't, they get thrown out.

when you speak of old clothes being in "Excellent Condition", you remind me of my Mom. She used to refer to some one who had Many Costumes old and new, as, "a Clothes Horse!" I'm not sure what she mean't but I think she envied, "The Clothes Horse!"

Hi there.. I don't obviously throw them.. If they r no longer wearable, then I just stack them in a seperate cupboard meant for old clothes which r not wearable, and lend them to my maids or else I donate them to charitable houses whenever I make a trip there...

I normally just let the clothes pile up. So as it is, my wardrobe is so full and bursting already. I won't throw them away since I can't bear too hehe. :P

My wife watches me like a Hawk. If I don't hang my clothes she threatens to toss them. So needless to say, I'm a Very Tidy person!

LOL... I have a tattered old sweatshirt from Ocean City, Maryland, that's almost 25 years old. It has sentimental value, so it survived the purge my honey made me do before we moved last year, all my other clothes from the 1980's went bye-bye! I would probably have still had them if that hadn't happened. I like new clothes in theory, but I always drift toward my well-worn comfy old favorites.

Yes, the theory behind that is, after you wear a particlar garmet for some time it begins to take on some of your vibrations. When you wear this garmet you feel warm and comfortable because the vibrations feel so good to you.

Luckily I seem to keep my clothes in great condition...I have some clothes that are at least 20 years old---and still look brand new...since I tend to go for non-fadish kind of clothes they don't reflect just how old they are either

sounds good to me! Maybe thats why I like used clothes. I bought 30 lbs for $5.00 last Sat night at a Donnybrook sale. Lots of shirts, shorts, even a hat. Of course when you get them home only about 1/4 of them fit. But its the fun of it! Thanks pye!

If they no longer fit or I hardly seem to wear them anymore I will offer them to my children first and then send them off in the charity truck.

Well, with the stuff that I don't wear very much, I bag it up and take it to the goodwill or salvation army. Then there are those things that I just can't let go of. I have tshirts that the numbers have fallen off the back and i've had probably 10 years, but I still wear them. As much as they've been worn and washed I can't believe they are all in once piece. I don't get to attached to my shoes. I usually wear them till they can't be worn and then throw them away.

THis reminds me of a 100% nylon v-necked sweater my wife bought for me shortly after we were married 51 years ago last October. I still wear it occasionally! Thanks for reminding me of my Olde sweater!

I still keep my old clothes, even if I've acquired new ones, especially if I feel that my old clothes could still be used. However, if my old clothes could not serve their purpose anymore, I just donate them to my relatives, friends, or other people who could probably use such.

I have a belt that I bought in 1953. It has a sliding buckle, and I can still wear it. I keep it on my best pants and only wear it on special occasions. I don't brag about still wearing it because no one believes me. :-)

well you know! You just reminded me that I enjoy old clothes that others have worn. I seldom buy new jeans. Usually I can find used jeans (so much cheaper) and with lots of wear left in them! thanx
