Almost everybody i my department knows me. From being the brightest in Math and programming to the coolest girl in school. I never intended to be that popular. I don't wear all that girly stuff, I dress up like a rockstar, always wearing black. I don't want them to notice me but they did. Back in your school day, Were you the popular type or just the ordinary student?

I am in school, actually. Well, I am not the most popular guy, I think. But I know that there are people who know my name... People that I didn't even notice that existed! It is strange to see how people from other classes can greet me and tell my name, you know? They come and say: "'sup, Eduardo?" I think many know me. But not everyone.

My heart tells me to be the most popular person in school, but my brain just refuse to listen to my heart. I just keep a low profile. Being popular in school does not mean it is good as it is often the popular ones who need to work extra hard compared to the rest, both in terms of grades and extra duties. lol.

:) I know you math girl :) well I was always in the top 2 of all classes, for almost 7 years, always getting 99-100% of the full score, and enjoying being popular, for being smart, as well as good looking gentelman, also known for my talents there was almost no one in my city that hasn't heared of me! and I loved it!! now I'm a little lazy, more into emotional stuff.. so less popular!

Yes, myself and 3 of my of my classmates were popular in school as toppers in studies. I maintained the same till I completed VIII standard and later moved from village to city.

In monthly tests, I used to be on top, but in terminal and final exam, I used to get 2nd or 3rd ranking - the first and second place is usually taken up by girls. In village schools there will not be much pressure but in city (when I joined viii std., I found it tough to get 1st place.

i was pretty popular, i was trendy and sort of a bad a**. but i knew a lot of people b/c i went to elementary school where my dad lived, jr. high where my mom lived, played softball in another area, then went to high school in the area i played softball, then played league soccer in another area. so i get to know a lot of people in different areas. and i still kept in touch with a lot of people even if i didn't go to school with them, like one of my softball friends is still my friend now since 13 yrs. old and we've never gone to the same school. i guess i just knew a lot of people and i lived in a big city san jose, ca. Not to mention i had a big family too.

The student of psychology and semantics in me is highly amused by the way you worded your question... ;} I was pretty popular in high school. I went to all the parties, I was homecoming duke Junior year, I was elected student body president--didn't get to keep that office on account of grades. Point being, I was riding the highlife. Then something I'd done my freshman year--something taboo surfaced, and you should've seen all the fair weather friends flee. Popularity is a joke, unless you're a population. Your best bet in this life is to half a handful of good friends and one or two best friends. Most people are fake, and if you stop and think about all the people you gossiped with--just remember "if they'll do it with you, they'll do it to you."

am popular i guess, not only students from my department knows me, almost everyone else!hahahaha no joke, am from UP cebu, and the population in the campus is not that big. everybody knows everybody. maybe not by name, but quite certain that when they see a face, they would know from what course that person is. and even when we see schoolmates in the mall, we nod to each other in recognition!:) it's just that. happy isn't it.. it's like you got a lot of friends. and there will be younger students, or your juniors calling you ate! that's sweet! i mean, i don't know, as for me, it is.:) but when i was in high school, i was really a popular student. i represented the school not just 10 times, from oration, to news writing in press conference, to declamation, to beauty contests!hehe i was also the president of the school organization when i was in 4th year high school and the school majorette at the same time. so that explains it.

I knew everyone and had friends in about every clic in school. I hung out with people who were popular, but never considered myself popular. I knew everyone and was friendly with everyone, didn't have many enemies, I was grateful for that I guess.

I was not so much popular back in school. Although every single person in the school, from the gateman to the pricipal, they all knew me be my name, but then also i dont think that i was that much popular as some of the other guys. But yes the teachers liked me too much. I was the class representative and then i did many mischievous activities in the class just to be among all........lol.......it was great time.

i was some kind of an introvert during my school days. i was not that active in any of our school activities. but you would see me around the school library often reading books and magazines. so nobody actually knew me well around the school. i was just an ordinary and timid kind of student before.

Oh this is one great topic you came up with, Argie713. I need to respond to this discussion. Let me first begin by saying that I was born and grew up in Germany. I have been there for 13 long years. But then the time came that my parents decided to return back to the Philippines. It is here where I went to High School and College. My High School days were very difficult for the first year. I didn't know how to speak the Native language at that time, and ended up in communicating with classmates and teachers in English only. I hated the FILIPINO subject, considering the fact that I was pretty good with the other subjects. Having said that I was rather the silent type during my first year since I couldn't speak Tagalog with everyone. And they couldn't speak English very well too. Though I was able to communicate with most of my classmates during the first year, I couldn't consider myself popular at that time. The following year was becoming different though. New classmates. Higher Section. New Teachers. Better Tagalog. He he he. Things are becoming to change during my second year. I am getting used to the environment and the language primarily. People are becoming curious about me. I started to get calls at home. People are greeting me along the corridor. Is it the looks that time? Because I am from Germany? I excel in subjects? I don't know. But I became POPULAR. he he he. My number of friends were increasing at that time. Girls were after me (that was the best time..). Yes, I was popular in school. =)

Yes. I was quite popular not only in my school but in my entire neighborhood as well. Reason? Because I was an all rounder. I excelled in everything. I was good in academics and ranked top. I played a variety of games and I was good at them. I had a lot of friends. I was very very popular with girls. I was very handsome with a very healthy physique. By the way I still carry these traits. I was very active. I was prominent in many social events as well. I love freedom. I was and am open minded and go well with anything in any part of the world.

(rock stars don't wear only black :)) ) I know the feeling. I tried to be not noticed, people staring at me scare me. But somehow they did. Maybe because in the 1rst year of college I was the only one who had the courage to speak up and say the things that were not right out loud. Since then, everyone knows me... even freshmen :( And, as you, I don't wear girly stuff. Actually I hate fashion nowadays, I think it's made by blinds (but that is another story) but that doesn't seem to be an issue. Some like me, some hate me. But everyone knows I'm there, damn it!

Yes I Was Popular In My School But For Wrong Reasons.I Was Popularly Known As Boxer In School As I Was Short Tempered And If AnyOne Annoyed Me He Had It.I Become Popular For The Reason That - I Broke The Teeths Of Atleast 10 Of My Fellow Classmates Out Of 90 Odd.This Made Me Popular In My Batch.Apart From That I Was Also Popular With Students Who Were In Class Ahead Of Me Because I Was Made Monitor By Them Of My Class Because Of This Nature Of Mine - Saying That I Was Perfect For It Because No One Would Dare To Go Against Me And Anoy Me.
