I enjoy watching such Asian Dramas. If you like too, what are your favorites? Is it bad for a Filipino to maybe patronize these dramas? Right now, I'm into 'which star are you from'...and next morning, it's hard for me to get up lolx. ^_^

I like watching asian mini series on dvd. my fave is Full House, next is Goong (or princess hours). I don't like the suspense of watching it part by part on tv in Tagalog.

Not really but my younger sister does a lot. She's taking Korean classes and could read, speak and write Korean now. She has a huge compilation of Korean DVDs so we're able to watch some TV series and movies too. Cheers! Happy Posting :)

UP Diliman. Check it out in UP Los BaƱos, they might have it also. After taking the first course, my sister was able to teach english to Korean students in a nearby school. If you want, you may also learn online. Try searching the net. Goodluck :)

I think you should be able to watch whatever you like. However, I don't really buy into this stuff as much as most of you probably do. I don't really understand why all of a sudden, no matter which television station I switch to, and no matter the time, I see some obscure Korean/Japanese/Chinese tv drama show. I guess that's what sells right now, but really, it's been overdone in the past years.

It's because we find it interesting. It's good to try something new more than the usual, but it's okay and it's up to you if you want the local more. Thanks.. take care.. ^^

I like watching Japanese live action series and my favorite would have to be GTO ^_^ I don't think it's wrong to patronize it because most of the Filipino-made dramas, in my opinion, are plain crap. I don't mean to offend any fans of Filipino telenovelas here. Just stating what I think ^_^

I love Japanese live actions too. I like them more than the animes. And I agree with you. I'm just worried if I'm too addict to japan-korea because sometimes my parents would ask "bakit ba gus2 mo yung mga ganyan? Naiintindihan mo ba yan?!" ^^v take care..

i also enjoy watching asian dramas. i like taiwanese and korean dramas more though. my most favorite is "it started with a kiss". i am currently watching "flowers for my life" it's a good drama thank god it has subtitles. if you have destiny cable it airs mondays thru wednesdays 9pm in kbs world. the lead actor there is the guy from "my sassy girl" the movie one hehehe. i think it's not that bad to patronize other asian dramas if you're a filipino. the reason why filipinos resort to other asian dramas is because filipinos find better entertainment in them than our own local dramas. i also believe that local dramas have a redundant plot and tiring acting style in my opinion.

Wee! 'It started with a kiss' is one of my favorite asian dramas!! Hahah.. it's very funny! And Ariel Lin is really good in acting! Her role in ISWAK is the contrary of her role in Love Contract so I think she's really a good actress. And Joe Cheng is so hot! ^o^ And do you also know Hana Kimi? It's also a cute taiwanese drama. and "flowers for my life"? do you mean cha tae-hyun? And I agree with you alot. For me, I like foreign dramas more.

That's very true. although in my perspective its also because we see new faces instead of judy ann, claudine, etc. etc.

also true! it's tiring to see the same faces. they try but they can never break through the scene again in my opinion. they don't have the humor that chinese and korean has in their love stories. in my opinion romantic comedy rules. :)

I used to but not anymore. My sisters are avid fan of these foreign tv dramas. THey have good stories though and i think its not bad for filipinos to enjoy other movies/show. There's learning in there too.

I'm not really into patronizing them, I just watch what's recommended by my friends or what others show me. Sample of which are My Sassy Girl, Windstruck, The Classic and My Little Bride. They where all good Korean Dramas. They're funny and real too. Much real than most of the movies we see in Hollywood.

Why is it bad? I too like to watch dramas from other countries. Hey which star are you from... I am going to search for this drama because I heard from my friend and she told me its very nice. Try Wonderful Life. Its a Korean drama shot in Singapore and Korea. THe little girl is really adorable and the last few episodes is a tear jerker. I cried till my eyes are red. If you need english subs, go to goole.com and search for Chinky. Go to CHinky's blog and you can find the Korean drams and movies which are subbed in English. :D
