Do you switch off the air conditioner before turning off your car?

Or do you just simply turn off your car? Well, I must turn the AC off. I have a habit of switching everything off before I turn off the car, especially the air conditioner. The thing is, I have no idea why it's supposed to be done. I was told to do it just so I wouldn't spoil the AC. Are some of you like me, who actually do it but have no real idea what it's for? For those of you who do know, the information would be highly appreciated. Thanks guys! :D

I've always just heard that it's better for the car. I rarely use my AC but if I do I definitely turn it off. You're supposed to turn things off like AC and stuff because it's just better for your car. Like you should never run your car constantly down to E before filling up with gas. Technically you should never let your gas tank get below a quarter of a tank. It's just ways of keeping your car healthy and in a good condition. It's like brushing your teeth or washing your face before you go to bed or in the morning when you wake up. It keeps you healthy. Same goes for the car.

I turn the aircon off before I turn off the car as well. I do it because the next time I go out in the car, it might not need to be on and sometimes when I haven't turned it off before, I have been driving around for a while before realising that it's on and I didn't need it on. I hope this makes sense, lol!

I am doing exactly the same like you. But I am sorry that I don't have the answer to your question. I also don't know why I need to do it before I turn off my car. I just make it as my habit. I will turn off the radio and the air conditioner first before I turn off my car. Now, I think we need help from other mylot friends to rectify this for both us *laugh*

Before I off the car, I off everything - lights including the air-con. It is just a habit. As to why I do not off the power directly, I do not want to shock the air-con and lights by suddenly cutting off the power at one go. I prefer to off each one by one.

I don't own a car and I don't drive. So i wouldn't know what i would do. But when I think about it, it's basically because we do that everytime we leave the house too, right? Turn off the AC, TV and all other electrical appliances. So maybe it's just natural to turn off the radio and AC before you leave the car too! :) I don't know, that's just the logic i see in it.

LOL~! That's really a great logic to it! I never thought of it that way. I guess that's why I do it, even though I have no idea what it's for. But the habit of turning things off already comes naturally. Thanks for the interesting observation, even though you don't drive yourself~! ;D
