Most of the mylotters make friends here and they will get good exposure to their disscussions right?Well.. do u respond to your friends discussion because they responded to your disccussion?or you see for good discussions among your friends list to respond?I have seen good number of my friends responding to almost all disscussions of mine if they are good...i havent responded to them becoz i have less time to respond...Now am thinking to notify on to my friends here to respond as much as possible...becoz am wasitng so much of my time in searching good discussions from new discussions page..it is really hard to find descriptive posts..is this happend to you???

I only respond to discussions where I feel I have something to add, even if they were started by my friends. I do make an effort to always look at my friends' discussions to see if I have something to add, but I would never reply unless I felt my response would be meaningful. I do have friends who respond to most of my discussions, and other friends that never do. I don't really judge them either way. I have a lot of friends on mylot, and just like in real life, some of them are closer to me than others. I feel that's prefectly okay. Right now I haven't been responding to many discussions at all because of things going on for me offline, and my friends have been really nice about the whole situation. So I consider myself lucky in those respects. My main trick for finding descriptive and good posts is following my friends to the discussions they've responded to. There are a couple of people I can always count on to find the good ones!

It is not a criteria for me to respond to only those friends who respond to my discussions, mymytri! I try, however, to respond to at least one discussion of a friend who respond to mine but I have to admit that there are some whose discussions, I have yet to respond. There are some who never responded to my discussion while I have responded to many of theirs. Then there are those who I respond to more than they respond to mine and vice versa. There is two friends, however, who keeps the balance, such that if I respond to their discussion, they will respond back by equal number of my discussions. It's all about if some discussion interests to me or them or we have some meaningful words to add. Friendship is never about business, neither online nor off line:-)

I see many mylotters starting some really foolish discussions and their friends responding to it. I have many friends on the list, everyday i get friends request but i don't bother about my friends as the discussions that i respond to is only to those of my interests. Yes, of course we respond to friends discussion if we find theirs interesting or important. Since i joined mylot i have learnt a lot and still learning from the various quality posts that our friends here are posting. I came here not to make friends, but everybody here in mylot is a part of my family.

Well, I try to response as many as possible within my limited time. Mainly I would response the posts that interest me so that I have something to talk and give them my sincere opinions. Since I have friends from all over the world, sometimes I don't know the full meaning of their posts. For example, the name of the supermarket; the place that I have never been or the film they had watched and so on. Hopefully my friends will understand.

I try to respond to all my friends discussions that respond to mine. But sometimes I find it hard to respond to some of thier discussions. There are some that just don't apply to me, so I don't respond to them. But I do try my best. I even try to respond to my other friends that don't respond to mine.

I tend to respond to the discussions that really make me think about something - the ones with depth where I can really express my opinion. I agree with you that it's really hard to find descriptive, thought-provoking post here sometimes. There are always fun posts that make me smile, but it's often hard to find a deep discussion... and another problem is I can never think of anything interesting to start a new post with, so I'm half the problem :o)

I read all my friends posts but if I don't have an opinion or the topic is not one that applies to me then I won't respond. Sometimes I find it hard to find something to respond to, those are the days I turn the computer off.

That is one of the main reasons why I keep my friends reponses turned on. This why I have less that I have to search for.

No that is not the reason but i think if you want to post then better to give benifit to your friends :) so do post responces to your friend but in return if they dont post to yours then no need to worry just improe your relations :)

when i am in mylot, i go over my friend's discussions first to look if there are interesting topics to discuss with irrespective of who they are and whether they have responded to my earlier discussions or not. if it happens that he/she responded to my discussion before and i responded to her after it may have been a coincidence because of a common interest and one idea. what matters to me most is the type of topics that are being posted here and if those topics really make sense to me at all. there are also instances when too many topics are being posted by our friends that we could no longer reply to all of them even the topics are very substantive due to lack of time. however, chances are you could still make responses at a later date when you come and visit mylot again. i think most of the topics here are generally written for everybody and are answerable anytime you feel like responding to them.

Hi... I would like to be able to respond to all my friends discussions but to be honest I don't find it that easy.. because I don't always have a response to what they have written... but I do try my best! I feel that my discussions I have started are the same to my friends, because I have way more friends than I have ever had responses.

I like to look through my friends discussions to see which ones I can respond to. There are some discussions that I don't feel that I have anything new to add. There are a number of people who are on my friends list that don't respond to my discussions. That is their choice as well. They might not find the discussions I start to be interesting. Some days it is harder then others to find discussions that interest me.

I'm lucky in that the friends I have on my list post excellent discussions on very interesting topics, so I have no problem there. About the only thing that will keep me from posting a reply to one of their discussions is if it is about something that I know nothing about, or I simply can't come up with an appropriate response. I usually have so many email notifications, that I don't get a chance to get to the other discussion pages on the site itself.

I usually choose a discussion that interest me regardless of who started it. may it be my friend or not. before I use to go to recent discussions but its seldom that I get to find something interesting. now its either I go to discussions from my interests of to discussions my friends started.

Hello mymytri. Upon logging in, the first thing I do is to check my emails. I only set the notification "on" for friends who are actively partaking in my discussions. It is my way of reciprocating the support they are giving me. The other friends I choose randomly through discussions my friends started. Just responding to my friend's discussions will take so much of my time already. Besides, I'm not very active here lately and a day of not logging in means I need to work doubly hard the following day just to clear my emails.

Well, I respond to as many discussions as I can. I really don't have a set formula. I have experienced difficulties sometimes in finding posts with enough depth to respond appropriately, but I try my best. By the way, you have a beautiful avatar.

I try to respond to my friend's dicussion's IF THEY interest me. I get e-mails when they start one or respond to one of my replies to someone's discussion. It may be late when I do respond. I don't check out current or new discussions at this time because there is overtime available at work and I am trying to get as much OT as I can.

I will reply the post started by my friends if they are interesting and I think I have somthing to say about theri topics. and I always try to response my friends post , but not because they reply my post . as there are too many friends reply my post , and I don't know how many friends reply my post , and I also think there are too many new post from my friends, so I could not reply all their post . even they reply mine, I only can choose some good topic from my friends. and I don't think have enough time to reply all post started by the friends who reply my post. so I will try to reply post started by my friends, if they are really good . if not, I will not reply , even if they reply my post very much.
