I never thought this would happen but it just has. I am deeply saddened that my favourite player is leaving my beloved team arsenal. Only last year he signed a 4 year contract and now its over. He has joined barcelona for a low transfer fee (£16 million). He is one of the best in the world and to go to another club at a cheap price is disgraceful. Barcelona have grabbed a bargain. It is going to be another hard season for Arsenal. Fellow Arsenal fans, please cheer me up because i feel distraught at henry's loss. :(

On the contrary, I think it was long time coming. Henry was unsettled ever since Viera left the club. Then again Dein's departure and the internal politics also has had their toll on the player. As far as Barca is concerned, they have paid around 33 Million $ for the deal, which works out to 1/4th the amount Real are willing to pay for AC Milan's Kaka. That is why the deal is such a steal for Barca. Next year, with Ronaldinho, Henry, Eto and Messi, Barca are going to be the team to beat. I just hope that the internal squabbling so the Emirates Stadium does not result in Arsene Wenger also moving on, else it is going to be a complete disaster. I would thank Henry for providing some of the best moments in the last 8 seasons in Arsenal colors. 2 League titles, 3 FA Cup titles and 4 times Golden boot is a good collection for 8 seasons for class. Cheers! Ram

That is very true. He made the premiership more beautiful to watch. He will be missed badly. Thanks for everything, King Henry. Will there ever be another Henry?? :(

I saw this and I was also disappointed to see Henry leaving... for Barcelona, too. I still think that the current roster is solid and could compete in the EPL, but I would hope that we could go out and get a striker... think Michael Owen is still available? It saddens me to know that I won't be seeing Henry there anymore, he is my favorite football player and would have loved to see him finish with Arsenal. I just hope we can get some other players to substitute for him during this transfer season. Especially with Chelsea, Manchester United, and Liverpool finishing above them in the final EPL standings.

It's no longer a rumour. The only thing pending in this deal now is the medical and presentation which is supposed to happen this Sunday. The deal was worth $33 Million. Cheers! Ram

I will support Arsenal forever, through thick and thin. Chelsea are one of the most boring teams in the league.

Oh come on Dj dont be crest fall, we still have a chance 'cause we have good players. Besides we are probably expecting good strikers to join the club soon like (Diego Millota, Torres, Martins and more). I know how most of us felt about Henry, but then that's how it supposed to be, so let's give him (Henry) a break to start somewhere. The truth is that we missed Henry alot! Thanks

I thought Henry said last year that he will retire a gunner. Well playing for Barca is a big opportunity for him. He can win a European title with Barca. Henry is much better than Eto'o. I think he will be the first choice striker for Barca.

i know its hard as an arsenal fan 2 c henry goin 2 barca.. but tell me how many of us didnt c this happenin once the transfer window opened this summer.. but probably wenger thot it better to cash on in henry then 2 hav him play below par.. as all hav seen that henry was plagued by injuries and didnt look his best last season.. but i really hope that arsenal get some good striker in this season to stand a chance 2 win any silverware this season! Go Gooners!!

Yes henry has left arsenal. I wonder if they can cope without him from now on. Although they have a lot of young and fresh players who it seems can do the job and fill the vacuum created by him. But then, can he he really make an impact in barcelona when he gets there seeing all the talent that they have in that club.
