Willard Wigan of England makes sculptures so small you can not see them with the naked eye. He uses a hair from the back of a housefly to paint them. You can see some of his art work at yahoo on video. This is soooo awesome, Would you purchase sculptures at this price if you couldn't see them? A British entrepreneur bought the whole collection and had it insured for $20 million. Here is the url to see this amazing artwork. http://abcnews.go.com/Video/playerIndex?id=3298352

That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard of. Whoever purchases those should be punched in the stomach. Seriously why waste that much money on something so insignificant. Why not donate that money to a charity. Or purchase 300,000.00 dollars worth of food and clothes and give it to people in Africa.

Did anyone here even bother to watch or listen or even read about the artist and how he does this? The elephant is on the head of a pin and was carved from a fragnment from a grain of sand. I'm pretty sure the buyer knew what he was getting and it will be worth even more if the artist ever gets to the point where he can't do such tedious work. What the people in Africa who are starving needs is to move to where the land is fertile where they can grow food and start using birth control. I know a man who was there and he said they could leave just like he did but they don't want to for some unknown reason. They just keep on having babies year after year. God helps those who help themselves.
