I am going to get out of the house today. I am taking my children to the mall for a little shopping and we may go to a movie.
I had a bad cold last weekend and I was feeling pretty miserable. My daughter caught the cold early this week and has been sick all week.
We've been out on short errands a few times but we come home fairly quickly. Yesterday, we didn't go out at all. Well, I went to the grocery store for a short while but that was it.
We are all starting to go a little stir crazy, so I think it's time for us to get out of the house.

Have lots of fun and enjoy the shopping and movies - soulds like a good idea - im sitting here thinking what I should do with my son so a movie sounds good. See you later on :)

Thanks for your response. As always it's taking me longer to get out of the house than I had hoped. My kid is in the shower now. She got in the shower just after I had to referee for her and her brother. Don't you just love sibling rivalry? lol

haha unfortunately I only have one son however i do sometimes have to referee between my husband and son, does that count? LOL have a good one!

I have to go out far too often for me. I think there is nothing better than being able to spend all day at home with my family and pets. That is my aim at weekends - it happens all too infrequently. I managed it last weekend but this one I have to taxi my son and daughter to work as my husband has to work as well.

Thanks. I should be going soon, I hope! lol I enjoy staying at home also, but when we have too much time at home, then it's time to get out. I guess too much of anything makes a person want a change. I wouldn't want to be out all the time either. I like a balance.

Glad to hear you had a good time, the place you went sounds really interesting. most things here look towards the future, which often annoys me because if a place has a "charm" there's no need. hehe

We had a nice time. We did a little shopping and went to lunch at a place called Johnny Rockets. It's a old fashioned burger place, with a 50's motiff.
We didn't go to the movies. My daughter didn't want to be stuck in a movie for two hours. Which is fine. We were wanting to get "out" so, I guess it makes sense that we didn't do something that was completely indoors. Thanks for your response.
I agree it's nice to get glimpse into the lives of our mylot friends once in a while.

Enjoy your afternoon with the children. You should also include swimming and sunshine. This will help to brush off that cabin fever feeling. I get cooped from time to time also. I find that the fresh air is very helpful for rejuvenating the spirit.

Fortunatley the mall we are going to is an open air mall. That will be good. She doesn't want to sit in the movie for 2 hours though, so we will find something else to do to entertain her brother for a little while to after we go to the store that she want's to go to (she has a giftcard to spend).

Sounds like a much needed break for everyone. Somehow things just seem so much better when you get out after being under the weather for a time. It is great for a healthier perspective. Have fun and enjoy yourselves.

I'm glad you decided to get out for awhile...so how was you're day? I myself can't stand to be cooped up all day long in the apartment--talk about cabin fever...and even sometimes, if I'm really sick or something, I'll still go out..it sometimes makes my feel better...strange logic I know...but it does.

Our outing turned out well. Our "day" was okay. lol
For some reason before we left and when we got home my kids were in the mood for bickering. It wasn't constant, just enough to be irritating. As far as your logic on getting out when you're sick. I don't think it's strange. I often feel better when I get out in the sun. It's soothing and I think the fresh air helps. Of course, it depends on the nature of the illness. I think the sun somehow stimulates vitamin E in our bodies somehow. I'm not sure how it works, but I think I read that somewhere.

Sounds like a fun time! I'm jealous! I cant wait til all my kids are old enough to go sit thru a movie! Right now only my oldest two can and I rarely have anyone that can watch the little two. So they really miss out when it comes to going to the movie theatre when my hubby is away. It sounds awesome! Shopping and a movie!! I am jealous, hope you had a great time and have many more. :)

Thanks for your well wishes. I remember how difficult it was to do things when mine were little. Sometimes it's still a challenge! lol
They do grow up though. When they were little I would take them out to parks in order to get out, when the whether was good. I remember sometimes it was so much trouble to get them ready that it almost wasn't worth the trouble. Of course, once we got out it was worth the trouble. They got to burn off some energy and I got some fresh air.

Hey we all have to get out I know the feeling. We only have one car and my husband uses it for work. His days off are tuesdays and sundays. And on those days Im out of here.LOL Have a good time and enjoy.

I can understand how you are feeling - having had to spend a lot of time at home unable to go anywhere lately I can understand the stir crazy feeling you talk of - specially when you have kids stuck indoors too! I hope you all have fun when you go out and enjoy being out of the house! xx
