Why Are You Anxious and Worried?

Why are you anxious and worried about so many things? If god clothe the lilies of the field, will he not clothe you? And, if god feed the sparrow, will he let you go hungry? God will not forget you or your children. See, God has inscribed your names on the palm of his hand. Your faces are forever before him, even when your fast asleep.God will supply your every need today and always. Did God not promise that he would never leave you nor forsake you? And have he not said he would perfect all that concerns you, even those things you have shared with no one else? Cast all your anxieties and all your worries on Him. Allow His arms to enfold you and His peace substain you. Believe Him when He says that not one word of all the good things that have been spoken concerning you will fail. All will be fulfilled, for He is a faithful God, and His love for you is everlasting

*sighs* I really should learn not to make waves. SHE is loving and cruel, and I know that if I grow complacent and worry over nothing that she will allow me to starve and die. You could say that the creator lays out the choices..but we're the ones who have to decide. We're handed our own fate, what we do with it is up to us. So simply not worrying? Though it can be admirable, it can also be foolish. I worry alot, and sometimes to the point where moving hurts because I tensed up so much. What you said is mostly true for virtually all religions, and even in the parameters of my own faith..that's all well and good. Fluffy, reassuring stuff and all..but I know how serious things are pretty much all the time in my life. I can't afford to be foolish, what I do and how I do things has so far not failed me. I trust in m'lady, tis' true, but I know that I must never fall into compacency. That's what's brought about the current state of our world, anway.

I really like your response here! So glad you decided to make waves! =p I feel much the same way, that while I trust my Gods, they do not want me to be lazy and not worry about anything. I am expected to live my life and walk my path actively, not just sit back and expect to be provided for. There are many times when I have been provided for, when I really needed it and there was nothing I could do, but when I CAN do something I feel I should do it!

Aw, ^_^ Exactly! We gotta stay active, we're not back seat driver's in our own life lol, nor should we be. Our deities are the roads (whooyee..going into metaphorville!! Hee), representing where we could go..but they're also in a way the car we're driving. Ever present and there if we need them, but they expect us to do the movin' anyways.

thanx for your kind thoughts. I forget sometimes that God shall take care of me. Btw as a Christian I still worry like mad and still have little faith in God when times get tought. Its who I am. God knows this thankfully, and I am learning to trust God. I can say I trust Him but when times get tough I change. I have written many a poem about this. But I know all you said here are bible verses mixed in. You talked about Matthew first when Jesus talked about God taking care of the sparrows. ONE OF MY FAVORITES! The inscribed on the hand thing is a Psalm. Not leave you nor forsake you I believe is in the Old Testament somewhere. Maybe Joshua? The Casting cares on God is I believe in 1 Peter. Or is it Philippians? And finally I think I heard a little something else too? Did I get it all? :))

i think u r right but human being has habit of taking anything negetively. only some of us see the the positive aspect of the situation and this i think make me feel that we r anxious and worried. i think we can depend on god but it will be somewhat stupidity to be restless and think that god will do work for you. i greatly believe in god and have faith on him and u know what ever iam saying here doesnt matter my first step will be to pray god for any wish.

Thank you for this uplifting reminder of the faith which surrounds us in our world if we will believe in it. I do believe God does take care of us and our worries when no one else can, although it it goes so far as individual, and i would like it to include my son also. Since I have read the Bible I really would like God to work some judgment on the illegal immigrants residing practically in our backyard, and causing all kinds of resentment, feelings of hatred, fear, young men insulting me, etc. I read the things God caused these people, living always this way, never finding a better way, always going back to their own way. I wish God would find judgment against these people as they moved another truckload of their furnishings in today. (when the offices are closed) with the same awful attitude, stares, etc. They make every day so miserable, and I take some medicines, although I am not going to ruin my health and home for these illegals. I wish they were arrested and deported.

Some people worry just because this is their nature.I am from them.I am extremely sensitive to the world arround and my life is full with stresses. But i am not religious and honestly dont understand this principle you talk here about.

You must be referring to the passages from Matthew 6:25-34. How wonderfully sweet those verses are because they made me assured of my life tomorrow and thereafter. They are the cure or remedy for anxiety and worry for me. God made us the assurance that He won't leave us nor forsake if we only allow Him control our lives. These words made me feel that God really loves me so much and even the minutest details of my life are greatly noticed by Him. This sermon in the mount of Olive encouraged me to be radiant with joy and confidence in Christ at all times. Also First Peter 5:7 so beautifully speaks of our Lord's tender compassion: "Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you. "

I think the main thing here is take no thought of tomorrow for tomorrow will take care of its self. For whatever is going to take place will no matter what.It is all in God's hand no matter who's God it is.We have to have faith that it will work out for all who love God and walk in his ways."For With God All Things Are Possible"

Great topic from the word. Joyce Meyer did an awesome teaching of this same story last week. The most exhausting thing is worry, worry doesn't make the problem go away, only God if you let him.
