Are you noticing more local policemen on your streets where you live?

I see more and more in my little city. That is right, just yesterday, I counted 5 policecars no more than 5-10 minutes away from each other. Do you thinkt this is a good thing...OR....a policestate being born all over America? And also, if you live in California, like me, be warned that as if July 1, 2008, if you are caught with cell phone in hand, while driving, you will be given a ticket for $20.00 for first offense and $50.00 for second offense. If you see what is going on in your part of America, be ready for what will also come down the road sooner than you think!

I sometimes see more at some times, and sometimes I see fewer. Luckily, I almost never use my cell phone while driving. But, there was one time I was stuck in traffic and I had to use it because I was so extremely late and I couldn't pull over to make the call. I have a speaker option and could have the phone in my lap, which would make it harder for the officer to spot. But, I think that would be something they still could give me a ticket for. I'll have to get a bluetooth device or something.

I have noticed that at least once or twice a week there is a police car that goes through the neighborhood to see if all is going good and I really like it. I dont think that having to many police officers is a bad thing, we need all the help we can get to keep bad things from happening and if the bad guys see that the police are around they might not do the things they were going to do.
