what do you do when you gt a new friend request?

Will you approve your new friend request blindy or will you evaluate your friend first and then decide whether to approve or not.Do you approve your new request on the basis of your friend's points?Or do you approve your friend with the prospect of getting responses to your discussions easily.Do you private message your friends frequently?I've never got a reply in private message for the messages I've sent.May be because private messages do not pay that's why.......

When i first get a friend request I approve it right away and then I go into their profile and check them out. I check where they live and if they are female or male. Not that these things matter, it's just more out of curiousity. I also like to check how old they are and how long they have been a member with mylot and when they last logged in. This tells me how active they are. I then read at least the first three pages of discussions they started to see what interests they have. I then go back as many pages as I can, usually about 10 to 15 pages and I start responding to some of the older discussions. If I find that they have discussions I can respond to I will then keep them on my friends list and put their notify button on. If I find they have very little interests the same as mine I will either delete them as a friend, or I might leave them as a friend for awhile and see if they respond to my discussions. If they steadily reply to mine I will keep them as a friend, but if they don't respond to mine, I will then delete them. After all, friends should be loyal to each other and help each other to earn more money.

I think I should refer this answer to the mylot operators so that they may induct you into their service.I never expected such a well assessed and weighed reply analysing even the minutest factor. So I am giving you the best answer mark

Well thank you very much. I try to think of good things to respond with. I don't just say nothing to bring up my numbers. I take about 5 to 10 minutes on each of my responses so they are of quality and other people can comment back to me. Thanks again and happy postings to you.

here in mylot i approve all friend request that i get. here i do not check too much as i think it is not so bad to add friends here. But in orkut when i get request, i check the profile first before adding.

what makes orkut different from mylot in adding friends. In both you have the freedom to upload or not to upload photos, respond to messages discussions etc.It gives the impression that orkut is something notorious. Is that so?I too am a member of orkut and I accept all the friend request I recieve.Give me your name in orkut I will send you a friend request.Mine is santosh j prasad

I pretty much base whether or not I take a person on as a friend here by their points..if they were here about as much as I am, I will accept..if they were here longer than me, I definitely accept..the ones who have anywhere from 1-50 don't get accepted..it makes me feel like they just want to gather friends like this is myspace or something...

Actually, I think I've approved everyone who has asked. But I must admit I go to their profile page first. But I figure, if they asked, they must share at least one similar interest or they wouldn't have asked. Plus, they must have come across my user id somewhere in these many discussions. So, yeah, I'm pretty easy-going about approving friends here at mylot.

i guess for me it's kinda random. sometimes when i feel like it i will approve. sometimes if i feel i have too many friends then i won't approve. kinda of mood thing. i don't private message often. don't see a need to use it.
