Nowadays i barely hear people talk about books they have been reading . It's seems the movies and web have take the place of books . is book really out of season ? apart from the textbook , think about it , have you read books recently ?

I love to read and always encouraged my children to read as well. Thank goodness that is a habit they have kept. I can't understane why some folks don't read. I even keep a book in my oversized purse! lol

I am always reading books. I enjoy reading far more than watching TV. With a book you can go back, reread it, think about it. On TV the images and thoughts just flash by and then are gone with no moment to pause and let you think.

You really meet the wrong people then. I read every day. I work in a library and I am crazy about books and reading books. But also at my work I do meet people that never read. It is of all times and places.

I read instructional/teaching books a lot but I love a good novel. I mainly watch TV while I am doing my cross stitch and I am on here a lot but I still make sure to take plenty of time to read books. I don't think that TV or internet will ever completely replace books.

I love to read! I always have a good book that I'm reading, and when I'm done with it I have more waiting in line to be started! Reading is a great way to "escape" and relax after a long day or when there is nothing else to do. I don't know how people can sit in waiting rooms for appointments or at an airport without having a good book to read. It's true that the internet and TV have taken the place of books for many people, and I think that's sad. Every child should learn to appreciate the pleasure of sitting down with a good book.

Oh I love to read. I read books all the time; in fact I would prefer to read than watch t.v...most of the time. Books can open up a journey through the imagination so much better than television shows or movies can. I love reading sooo much!
