I love foreign fruit and so does my son. Our favorite is dragon fruit. I have kiwi's in the house all the time, they are a regular like apples; the same with chinese pears. Kumquats are great also. My dad has always brought home new fruit he finds in the stores so I just naturally have the craving for exotic fruit.

If you like foreign fruits. I would like to suggest a fruit from my country, which we call Durian. Why I suggest this fruit ? This is because the smell of this fruit will really freak u out. (This is wat happened to foreigners who came to my country and wanted to taste the fruit) But 1 thing i'm sure is, for those people who eat for the second time, they will get used to it and really love the taste. Another fruit which is locally planted in my country is mangosteen. It is sweet and foreigners will certainly like it.

I love fruits and I eat different types of fruits either locally produced or imported from other countries. Some of the imported fruits i have tasted include the dates from the Middle East, the New Zealand's kiwi, Mandarin oranges, red and green apples, grapes, the pears and peaches. They are all delicious and very nutritious. Of the imported fruits, my most favorite are the apples and my least favorite are the kiwi fruits.

With the vast different climates we have here in the States I don't know what's grown here and what's not. Papayas, mangos, guavas, and kiwis are my fave "different" fruits. I don't know if they are b"foriegn" to the states but those are the ones I like beyond the typical banana, oranges, apples, etc. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

When I first went abroad after getting married,I came across fruits like strawberries, blueberries, raspberries etc.I had never seen them or tasted them when I was in India.I love starwberries and blueberries.I always bae blueberry muffins and also use them in smoothies.Another fruit that I tasted recently is the Persimmon also known as sharon fruit. It is really delicious, looks like a tomato but larger and a nice yellowish orange.Tastes sweet and crunchy and best eaten fresh.

Traveling is an excellent opportunity to sample other fruits. I had kiwi for the first time in Australia and papaya in Ghana. These are both fruits that could be bought in the US, but I had not tried them. Most recently on a visit to Cambodia I had dragon fruit, named for its appearance. I ate another fruit (can't remember the name)that tasted like a pear, but smaller with a large seed or pit. Could this be the chinese pear you mentioned?
