What is your cat's or cats' name? Why did you name him or her or them that? Do you have a method for naming cats? Why or why not? Let's discuss our cats and our cats' names here.

I have two cats, they are female and half sisters,My daughter named one and her name is Lily-Rose and I named the other Aria, because their mothers name is Melody and that another name for music.

Lily-Rose is a very pretty name, and Aria has a lovely ring to it. Together, the two names create a beautiful and sweet-sounding picture. What lovely name cats!

No method. It just come out naturally depends on what the cat behave or what is the situation... Let's say.. I have this cat, she was scary looking cat (but cute..) and we named her Ring O (based on the famous horror movie at that time 'Ring O').

I had a dog as a child named Ringo. We named him that because he had rings on his tail.

Our male was Batman. His purr was so loud we got to calling him Motorhead. Our Daughter agreed to Captain Motorhead. The female is Red. We got her and a male from some friends to 'cat sit' until they got somewhere they could have her back. The male we thought was Blue, for his blue eyes. He had a blue collar. We bought her a red one so we started calling her Red. When I talked to her next I asked. Her name was Nuisance. I decided to call her Red. His name was not Blue, but Balou, as in the bear.

We've been letting our 4 year old name them the last few times. We had a set of 3, 2 girls and a boy that were named spongebob, patrick and squidward lol. when we moved we left them with the people that bought our house. We just got 2 female black cats. She decided to name them Nala and Kiara, which are female lions off the lion king movies.

Our cat is called Oscar and we didn't call him that, the people who found him as a very young kitten did. We liked it, so we kept it for him especially as for us it connects him to one of our favourite authors, Oscar Wilde.

My momma kitty is named Peaches because she is the color of a peach. Our male kitten is Vicious because he attacks you when your not looking and he pounces on the younger kids if they are on the floor playing. My son calls him Ling Ling for some unknown odd reason....lol

A cat named Peaches. That's dangerous because peaches is one of my most favorite fruits. I'd be tempted to put vanilla ice cream on him. LOL Just kidding! LOL Vicious. I hope he doesn't cause TOO much damage, psychologically and otherwise? LOL Ling ling. Hmmmmmmm. Does he speak Japanese or Chinese or something? Sounds very Oriental for some reason. I wonder what the word "meow" is in Chinese....
