Clever ways to promote your shop.

I know some people who tuck a businesess card in their envelopes when they pay their bills. The other day, I left my business card on a restaurant table next to the tip when we left. Do you do anything out of the ordinary to promote your shop?

Those are pretty clever ideas, actually! I haven't done either, but I might have to think about it! :) I really am bad about not promoting my shop very much. Partly this is because I don't have a lot of time, and partly because I am still a bit shy about promoting my crafts. The latter makes no sense, since I've been doing this for a while now, but some habits die hard. :)

I'm shy, too. That's why I try to find ways to promote without having to do anything one on one.

I have never left my business card at a table with my tip, but now I'm definitely going to do it the next time I go out! I have hung them up at free bulletin boards in my community, and all over my college campus. I also promote my shop on mylot, on my blog, and I put the link to my shop in the signature line of all of my email addresses. I still need to get more promotion out there...

Hmm,that is a really good way!I suggest you leave your card at the counter too. That way the owner or manager will also take a look and probably save the card and you will get more publicity:)
