If I have bad and good news, Which one would you hear first?

Let's say, for instance I mean, I have some good news for you and a bad one too. Then, which one would you hear first and why?
Given the opurtunity to me, that has never been given, I would surely hear the bad one first cause if get a bad news we get heartened or something liek this and then if I would hear a good news after it, definitely I would get happy. :D
I heared a joke about this, here it goes.
A person goes to the doctor after getting infected by a disease.
The doctor, after examining the patient, tells him that he has a good and bad news for him. He asks the patient which one would he hear first. The patient says the bad one and then the good one.
The doctor says, " WE HAVE FOUND AN UNKNOWN INCURABLE AND UN-NATURAL DISIEASE IN YOU. The good news is, " We're gonna name that after you." :D

i want to hear the good news first for sure as it can make my mood and place me in a nice place where i can be able to hear the bad one and as I am already somewhat happy by the good news I think the bad news will be less bad for me and if it is necessary i can advice u to overcome the bad effect as that time I am little bit positively charged already from the begining by the good news

I would rather hear the bad ones first, and then the good ones, maybe they will ease the pain.
Anyway ones you hear bad news after the good ones, you wil always stay with a bad mood all day.
If you hear the good ones after the good you will stay with hope.

I think I would rather hear the bad first. So then I will hear the good. You know, as a cushion for the bad.

That's a good way of looking at it. If you hear the good news first though, then the bad news might not seem so bad. In a case like going to the doctor, the bad news would have to be heard first anyway. The good news wouldn't make any sense if you didn't hear the bad news first. Funny joke! Thanks for sharing!

I would like to hear the bad news first for the reasons that you mentioned. I would get upset, and then happy again at the good news. However, if the bad news is really bad and I get mad, then I may not care about the good news and storm away or something like that.

if i have to hear those two at one time, i'd always ask for the bad news first then the good news. i think good news will still make up for the bad news that is told. good news will compensate for the bad news, and it will not be that difficult to accept the bad news
