Well thats going to be hard because i started as a child helping animals and the first was my brothers mice he left them outside one night and they all froze even the day old babies .I layed them out in the sun as we prepared a box for their burial and was amazed to find that they had came back to life they were just so cold but we perservered with them and they all survived much to mums disguist . Form there w bought home so many stray cats and other animals in need . But when i left home that was the end of it i was fifteen and had no where to care for animals but when i married and returned to the country to live again i returned to my old ways and my hubby joined in also .We cared for everything from potty calves ,baby goats, cats, but now i`m more into native animals which include ,kangaroo joeys( two in my back yard at the moment)i have reared over fifty in the time i have been caring for them but also have lost a few too ,birds from eagles to the tiny finches, lizards ,bats, possoms, echidna and their puggles(babies) and i also rescue snakes mostly the venemous ones we have here in Australia i enjoy my work and get such a satisfaction seeing them be released back into the wild. I now have joined a native wildlife group but the animals play a great part in my life .

I can remember about 4 situations of saving animals. The most tragic one was a little kitten. My brother found it partially buried under a bit of wood. It had been knocked on the head to kill it, but it was still alive. We carried it home, & my parents & us nursed it back to health. WE named it Lucky. He had deformed claws. Six months later he dioed of pnemonia. We have rescued numerous birds. Usually we take them to the vet for treatment or to be pout down.

Its amazing how each person has made such a big difference for animals when you look at how all these cases add up....I have saved several cats and several dogs from the pound...and I wish more could be adoped instead of destroyed.

I don't know the exact amount. Maybe around a dozen or so. I have saved snakes, turtles, dogs, birds and cats.

Oh Lord! I can't tell you how many animals I have rescued through out the years. I have lost count. Of all my rescues..I will have to say my last rescue was the hardest to exceot. As he was very attached to my daughter and I. But he (being a mini pin) attacked my oldest son in the groin area while he was sleeping. He had to be put down because of it. I call him a rescue because of the condiontion this dog came to me in. Even thou he was given to me by his previous owners. I was told he had shots. But becase the animal control nor the health department could find any shot records on this dog. Nor could they find this dog when it was all said and done to get him tested to see if he had rabies. My son had to go through a series of rabie shots.

I saved a few birds when i was younger but none of them survived - not sure why but i know 1 nest of baby birds were just far too young to survive without their mother. I saved 2 long necked turtles recently, 1 was out on the road in front of my house so i grabbed him so he couldn't get hit by a car or anything & then a week or so later i rescued another long necked turtle from the backyard, the dogs had it bailed up there but i was just shocked - by back yard is in a split level - i have no idea how he got up there in the first place. Both turtles are currently living in my bathtub - just until we can find them a suitable release spot or until we can work out how to build them a nice big enclosure.

There were 3 times that I was able to rescue baby birds that had fallen out of their nests. Two times it happened, the baby birds were injured so I brought them to a wildlife rescue center just for birds that is near my house. The other time it happened, the bird wasn't injured, so under the advice of the wild bird center, I put the bird in a cardboard box lined with grass and tied the box up as high as I could in the tree the bird fell out of. I then saw the mother bird feeding the baby in the box I put it in. There are also a few other times when I indirectly helped birds because people who had found injured birds called me asking me what to do. I guess I'm just a bird brain. LOL

Thats very special to be gifted and able to help gods creatures...Birds are so beautiful and like all animals, they too get into trouble sometimes...Hubby and I have have rescued baby birds before when they fell out of the tree. We got them back to their mother...and kept them from being attacked by cats, ect......

I mostly save frogs, I have two frogs now that are my beloved pets, I love frogs I really do and they are special to me, I rescued them both from the clutches of our youngest cats, they are both happy and content! It's great having cats but they do have a nasty habit of attacking the wildlife. In my lifetime I must have saved about a dozen frogs. So I've done my bit to help the froggie population!

I have rescued 5.2 dogs from the pound.2 kittens from the pound of which I still have. And one dog from some mean people abusing him.Actually it was my son and his friends that rescued him. There were four adults on the corner taking turns hitting and kicking him trying to make him mean.I guess because he is part pitbull. My son and his friends started a fight with the guys abusing the dog.And eventually got the dog from them.He is pitbull/dalmation mix.I cal him a pitmation. He is my best friend and the best dog I have ever had.He is sleeping across my feet while I am typing right now.
