How did you get popularity at mylot?

Popularity at mylot plays positive role at mylot and you can get more and more numbers of responds and also your friends could rate you positive and you can get a big number on your crown of star. I could not get so many respond. It means that I am not popular here.
How could I get the popularity here?

if you want to get popularity here, you must have a good contribution here, discussion or response to other members discussion. with your good answer, a lot of member will rate you and you will get your popularity, and got the highest star here.

I don't have any popularity here at the moment. Which is fine. I think it's something that will come with time and friendships.

I had 2 waves of popularity here. The first was when I did a series of discussions on my life with the carnival. I ran away from home at 13 and joined a traveling carnival. After those discussions I got a slew of friends requests. Now my second wave of popularity hit after I had been banned for 6 days then reinstated with the same accouint and standiongs etc. I got another rush of friends requests. Good quality discussions is one way to attract friends and get requests. That's the best way. Respond to other members discussions not just those on your friends lists. That also generates friends requests.
