Tank Johnson was recently let go by the Chicago Bears. With an 8 game suspension looming, does anyone take a chance on him? Is this a one year thing or will we see more suspensions like Tank, Pacman, and Chris "No Nickname" Henry? If so, how will it affect the NFL if teams potentially lose star players for half a season? And based on what Goodell has done so far, how long before Michael Vick gets a suspension? I think we are entering a different era in the NFL. It remains to be seen how long GMs will take to adjust to it.

I wonder how long it would take Mark Cuban and his new league to swallow up the likes of Tank, Pacman, Henry, Vick and even Ricky Williams. Not saying that these guys would make Cuban's league competitive, but it would definately lessen the sting of these suspentions. Especially if he could compete even slightly in wages. Which he couldn't but maybe he could offer something the NFL couldn't, like guarenteed contracts.

I've heard talk about Cuban's football league. I wonder how much of it is just Cuban being Cuban and how much is actual fact. There have been so many attempts to compete with the NFL and none have been successful, would taking the NFL's fallen stars and giving them a new home give this league the edge it needs?

I think Tank Johnson will be back in the NFL at some point. After the suspended games are over who knows where he will be and in what kind of shape. Someone always thinks they can change these guys. Look at T.O.. Although in fairness, T.O. is a jerk, not a criminal. These coaches think they can be the ones who turn things around for the troubled players. I'm glad the new commissioner is taking a stand. Even though these guys have talent and make big money, that shouldn't buy them a free pass. Garbage in, garbage out. See you later, Tank.
