Well, after serving a toal of 23 days she is free once again and I have to say that she had to stay longer than I first expected. I think it is fair that she was put in jail for what she had done, just like I would have been and I also hope that it was a lesson for her. However all it probably did was give her more attention and money =) I can see all the tabloids bidding for the first interview with her after her time in jail! So, do you think she has served her time?

What some people don't realize and/or think about is that Americans pay taxes... some of our Tax money goes towards things like housing people in jail. When a celebrity goes to jail... we're paying 3 or 4 times more a day than regular folks. I think Paris cost 1,500 something a day while she was there. So when celebrities get out early it's really a good thing, less taxes we have to pay for them! Especially when it's not even a celebrity we like! you know. So sure...she did her time, she took our money.. I'm glad she's out. Paris is an Heiress so it's not like she actually earns money anyway. She just has money cause it's in her family. Of course this will give her money for interviews and more attention but more attention isn't always a good thing. I believe they already got a first interview lined up for her now. Let's see if she really has turned a new leaf like she keeps saying she has.

Hilton's stay there cost taxpayers $1,109.78 a day, more than 10 times the cost of housing inmates in the general population, and I still stand behind my original post that this was the lamest show her a lesson that I have ever read, the judge should be hung for doing this to the taxpayer's. Hopefully he will be voted off the bench next term.

I had just recently read how much it was... I knew 1500 was a little off. I think celebrities should have to pay for their own stay in jail. That would show them!

she might cost the taxpayers money but i still think it is good that they made her see that she will also pay for breaking the law. I think they should have put her in a regular cell though *lol* I do not think it fair that people with money or fame should be treated differently than "normal" people-

I just saw it on the internet today when I signed on that she has been released. It is so surprising that it has already been 23 days. May be it is because I don't actually follow the story at all. But then that is it, it is all over and it seems it was not that long a time after all. We can only hope that she learned something from the whole experience. But the media may not allow that because of the way they glorify the whole thing.

I also hope that she learned somethig, the risk I see is that she will forget it all after having a few good old parties =)

That is a real risk. The media too are not helping, offering up to a million dollars for an interview. This may make some other celebrities attempt it too.

Oh you know she will have to put a book about her hard time, LOL. I think 24 days is not enough for any one for a 2nd offense DUI. I am so against drunk driving. But as for Miss Paris, just the fact her butt really did serve any time is a blessing. I am shocked her early release was reversed.
