GRR!!!!! Stop using so much toilet paper!!!

Ok I know this is the second toilet paper post I've made in 2 days but seriously, this morning I changed the empty toilet roll and put a brand new one on and tonight, 12 hours later it had run out and I had to change it again! But guess what- there's only 2 of us living in the house! When I was living at home with my family-there were 6 of us and we'd go through a bit over 1 roll per day. I tell my fiance that he uses too much toilet paper but he doesn't care. He has allergies and is always blowing his nose on toilet paper-simply because it's quicker to get to the bathroom the the bedroom.
How much does your household go through every day?

try putting up a sign "conserve toilet paper, USE BOTH SIDES" hahahaha just kidding!

Hi. Sounds like toilet papers gold nuggets in your house. Maybe you should hang up some news paper instead of your toilet rolls and see what happens... When different cousins come over to stay at our house they eat all the toilet paper up, figure of speech. And it can be quiet annoying waking up to nothing, when the night before you know there was alot...

we go through about 4 rolls a week. i hate buying the nice cushy toilet paper, cuz kids tend to like to use lots of it. so i buy the cheapest stuff out there, and then they dont waste so much. it gets the job done, and doesn't clog the toilet either--better for the environment.

I know exactly what you are talking about!! I have 3 bathrooms in my home. My 18 yr old son uses the bathroom downstairs~ and it is mostly just him. He goes threw at least one roll of toilet paper every day. I get so angry with him! He works full time and sleeps most of the day, so I don't know what he is doing with this toilet paper. He also uses it to blow his nose, even though I have kleenex in the living room.
The other bathrooms go threw a roll about every 3 days and 5 people use the other 2 bathrooms. It must be a guy thing!

Before we moved, we had two girls and one guy living in the same apartment, and we went through a roll every day or two. A lot of the problem was that our other roommate used the toilet paper to blow her nose, too. My fiance and I were just talking about this last night, when I told him we needed kleenexes. He said we could just use toilet paper, and I told him no, that was a waste. Boys just don't get it. :)
I'd recommend putting a box of kleenex in the bathroom. Maybe then he will use less of the toilet paper to blow his nose, so it will be there for it's actual purpose. :)

Maybe if you bought a rougher toilet paper and not one that's so soft he would stop using it for his snoot??? You can get a good bargain on "Scott tissue" you get 1000 sheets and it's not as comfy..It does the job but wont be as inviting to the runny nose.

You know, I have the same problem. Except...there's 3(4 if you count the 18 month old) females and 1 male in our house lol. But then I realized, I was using the tp for blowing my nose also-allergies. I figured it'd be cheaper to start buying tissues instead, a box of those is about 1.00, and they're much softer on the nose :) But we still have the problem of me being the only one to change the tp roll when it's empty....Hey, but at least my fiancee puts the seat down everytime, so I guess it's a trade off lol.

i h ave 6 in my family also.we dont even go through one in a day i think. Right now we have to bathrooms so i am not sure. But soon we are moving to a h ouse we are buying and that is one bathroom. What i do is we buy the scott tissue. that seems to last longer then any other. Maybe you should put tissues all over the place so he is near them at all times. lol

I am not into using of toilet papers in bulk or regularly. I just uses it when I am out or I needed to. But normally and at home, i am into more of rinsing and washing. I am comfortable in that and really feels clean.

We go through about 1 roll every couple of days. We used to go through more than that but my son is FINALY learning that he doesnt need to use half the roll when he wipes!

Maybe you need to buy the double rolls or the four rolls in one. You can buy the four rolls in one in the brand called Charmins. It is more expensive but in the long run it sure makes life easier. It's the only one I buy now. My hubby was bad for not changing the roll when it was empty and I used to get so mad at him for it. Now I don't get mad anymore and it has made a little more peace in my life.

There is just me and my roommate living in my townhouse and we usually go through one roll a week. We do not use that much toilet paper like your husband does. :-) Why does he not use tissues to blow his nose since that is what tissues are for? We go through tissues faster than we do toilet paper. Toilet paper is not cheap. Maybe your husband needs to be trained on using tissues. :-)

There are 2 adults and 2 kids in our house and sometimes the roll won't even make it thru the day. My 7 yr. old uses half a roll I think when he uses the bathroom. LOL I don't think it would bother me so much if they would just put a new roll on the paper dispenser instead of just leaving the cardboard and setting a new roll on the sink.

hahah i suffer this with my siblings too! it gets irritating when i see another empty roll of paper after it was put in just a few hours ago. sometimes i wonder if they use it as a towel substitute after taking a bath because it's gone just like THAT! anyway i keep telling them that we should go through 2 rolls at the most per week, but sometimes it reaches 3 or four. even though its just toilet paper, its still paper, and knowing that we're wasting it, or not using it economically, with all that's going in with nature and the weather and the environment...let's just say that we could use less ;)
