Have any of you ever went on a road trip with your fiances family or just your regular family and they are older people with you and the children of the older people want to dictate the type of music they the olders shoul hear? That is so disrespectful, I just hate that, music is music. I am not saying one should play music that is distasteful, but, if I am travelling I would like to hear what I want to listen to as well and not just listen to what they want to listen. Share the listening pleasure. DO you all agree that some people are just selfish?

Oh yeah. Some people are selfish. And self centered and self absorbed. I think with some people it doesn't even occur to them, to consider what the people around them want. They just do what they want and don't worry about the people around them would prefer. I've been with people like that. It's pretty irritating. I try to be considerate of those around me, sometimes to the point of putting them before myself. I don't expect to be put ahead of someone else, but SOME consideration would be nice. If people are in a car together on a long trip. Everyone should have a say in what's being played. Either that, or the driver picks or the adults pick. I don't think someones kids should be dictating the choice of music over an adult. That's disrespectful and inconsiderate.

Thank you for your comment. I never meant kids were doing this. I actually meant for example. Myself and my fiance and her family are going on a trip and she also has her grandp[arents who love oldies and they all think that we should go along with what they think is appropriate for them to hear and I dont think that is right. AS you even said at times you just relax and just go with the flow. Thanks again for your comment.
