Do you have your kids on a set sleep schedule?

I used to have my daughter on a pretty regular sleep schedule. But every since we had lots of family visiting and had quite a few late nights I've been having a hard time getting her back on her sleep schedule. My fiance says it's really no big deal since I'm a stay at home mom and neither of us are on a regular schedule. But I always kind of liked being able to give her a nap at a certain time everyday and put her to bed at around the same time every night. I like to have my couple of hours after she goes to bed to have my quiet time to be on the computer or spend time with my fiance watching tv. So do your kids have set sleep schedules?

At night my children are on a set sleep schedule. I see to it that both of them are in the bed by 8pm so that my husband and I can have some time to ourselves. I wish that they will take naps in the day at the same time, but they don't ever get sleepy at the same time.

When my daughter was much younger she took naps like clockwork and that gave me so much free time every day to work online. But, now it's a hit and a miss when it comes to nap time. Currently she has no set bed time, and usually just falls asleep in her spot on the couch. It's just a phase she's going through. I've tried putting her to bed at a particular time, but it's much harder now that her Daddy is off of work at a time that she is supposed to be going to bed. As long as she knows that he is in the house she doesn't want to go to sleep. When my spouse goes back to work at night, though, her sleep schedule will be much more normal. Best of luck getting your little one back into a schedule that works for you. Those bedtimes are so important for little kids and mommies too.

When my kids were younger we put them down when they were sleepy. It took over our lives and so we took back control. We put them down at the same time every night and they cant come out of their room until 7:00 am. It gives me a chance to get calmed down form the day and they are much happier. It was the best thing we could have done. We are all better off for it.

I think also it is ok if littl bit of derailed from the regular time, but it is important that they should not sleep too late in night regularly, but u know, fridays and weekends re hard to escape so i think the kids can cope up with our schedule and they enjoy friends and parties...as long as they are fine and no health problem..I dont need very strick time schedule for their sleep

Yes, we let our little boy sleep after lunch, 2:00 pm to sleep then wakes up at 4:00 pm. But sometimes it's hard coz our place is very noisy...so he can't sleep anymore.

No, I don't have a certain schedule for my son to go to sleep. It's just whenever we get around to it. A couple of weeks before he starts Kindergarten I will start him on one. We used to have him on a schedule when we lived somewhere else, but after we moved it went downhill. lol
