U would because as a man it is the given responsibility in soicety to bring in then bacon for the family if she makes a little more its ok but to have a huge gap in terms of earnings i would feel very imasculated ?

but as a man if my money is just paying the bills and thats it i would actually feel like id have to ask for a allowance in order to live

It's a shame you would feel like that. People do different jobs so they earn different salaries. Do you feel inferior to your friends because they earn more than you? Do you feel superior to friends who earn less than you?
People have different skills and talents so a man should never feel emasculated. It is no longer the case that a woman needs a man to provide for her
