Hi everyone. I don't think if every human think about this when we speak of "Holiness". What do you think the degree of Holiness that a Christian must possess to attain salvation?

Hello. There is stated in the Bible those who is holy. In Rev. 22:11 "He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still, and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still, and he that is holy, let him be holy still."

No amount of holiness can we posses or attain our salvation, God alone is Holy; our righteousness are like filthy rags in the sight of God. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, only then can God make us holy not that we can be holy by making ourselves holy.

Hi garyeye. I believe that we are nothing and filthy of this world. Of course we cannot be holy by making ourselves holy. Who are we in the first place in the sight of God. Unless we are called by God in the church and sanctified in Christ Jesus,(I Cor. 1:2). I am talking of degree of holiness and I think this is valid question and essential in salvation. It is written in 1 Peter 1:16 "Because it is written, Be ye holy, for I am holy" If GOD the father in heaven is holy so His children must be holy. But how can it be happen? In what degree? Is it only end by accepting Jesus as Lord and Saviour as what you mentioned?
