stock pile certain items- Canned goods – when they go on sale- or there is a rebate out there for them- They won’t go bad- Shampoo/Conditioner- when it’s on sale- We like Pantene and Herbal Essence- I try to pick it up during the big sales- Also toothpaste and toothbrushes- CVS & Rite Aid are always running some sale- where you get them almost free- Hand soap- same thing- I bought like 10 cans of skintimate shaving gel for like $5 total- and had a rebate- I haven’t had to buy that in over a year- I use conditioner- my daughter loves the gel- lol.. so mostly I stock pile health and beauty products-

I buy most everything in bulk. We try to keep a 2 years storage on hand. My neighbor lost his job a while back and his family of 8 had to live on their food storage. It was the only thing that kept them going. I hope it never gets to that point for us but if it does we will be ready. I buy things on sale so it is always cheap to eat. We rotete our storage so it is always fresh stuff and just buy a lot of what our family eats. I go crazy when it comes to case lot sales.

If I have the extra money and I find a really good bargin grocery shopping, I'll stockpile on cleaners, toliet paper, paper towels, various meats (big freezer), frozen veges/fruits, anything really. Now if I can just stockpile my money I would be happy. lol

We actually stockpile on several things. Whenever we can get a good deal on food, toilet paper, or laundry soap we buy extra so that we will at least have enough until the next sale. We also do the same thing with soda. In the long run we save a good chunk of money by doing things this way. We don't live in a town that has a grocery store so we try to stockpile so that we can also save on gas. Or in the winter time there are just times when the weather is bad and we can't get to town so having a stockpile of food and stuff comes in handy until we can get to town.

I always stockpile as a way of life because when I find a good sale on food, I buy as much of it as I can. This saves a lot of money over time, but it has an added advantage in that, should we get a storm where I can't get out to the grocery store, I don't have to worry. It never hurts to have extra food and water on hand. I do know that anything can happen in this world. It's always been that way, but that doesn't make it less important to be prepared.
