Hello everyone! To give you an update on my dad...the cancer did spread down towards his pelvic area. They spotted it in at least one of the lymph nodes down in the lumbar region. We also found out that not only is the tumor pressing against the heart but the cancer is eating away at the heart. The doctor says the heart wall is very tough but we should still be concerned. He also told my dad that there is a 5 - 15% chance of survival from this, but that doesn't mean my dad isn't one of those people in the 5-15% bracket. So yesterday, wasn't good news, but we did find out that he'll be starting chemo and radiation on Monday so the sooner the better! As for our competition - how's everyone doing?? I worked my butt off with my aerobics class last night but then I came home and ate. I think its stress, but to me that isn't an excuse. Can anyone give me some advice on how to stop eating so much when I get home??? I was thinking of taping some pics of me on my fridge, that way when I see how fat I am, I'll stay away from the fridge. Do you think that will work?? Good luck to everyone!

I am sorry to hear about your dad. i hope the chemo & radiation works for him. I'll definately keep him in our thoughts and prayers. AS far as the stress eating goes, I wish I knew. I'm not very good at following my own advice, but one thing I TRY to do, is take a drink of water before I eat. It gives me a little something in my stomach, and also some time to think if I really need to eat. I also keep a food diary and think "do I really want to write this down in the diary?" The last one has proved to be the best combat for me against stress eating. Wish you the best of luck! :)

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I have been hearing that from everyone I know and I honestly believe that helps, so truly thank you! Have a great day!
