I named my oldest daughter Bryanna because of it is an irish name, and it means "strong". I wanted her to become a strong and independent woman. My toddler is Abigail, and it means "my father is joyful"...both her heavenly father and her daddy! And our newest little blessing is Sarah, meaning "princess".... What about you?

I named my son Sean. My grandmother was born in Ireland and it is an Irish name. Also, I wanted to name him after Sean Connery. I have had the "hots" for that man since the 1960's and he still looks good. My only regret in choosing his name is that everyone uses a different spelling of the name when they send him mail and such. You would not believe how many people insist on calling him "seen".

I have two boys who are 3 and 5. Parker Jordan is the oldest. Parker comes from a show I used to watch. I liked the guys name Parker. Jorden is the middle name of the first born boy in my husbands family. Phenix Matthew is the youngest. I always liked Matthew so that was a given. On the way to the hospital at 5:30 in the morning I said We need a name! We thought for a moment and I said Phenix. He said yep sounds good Phenix Matthew. And we couldnt have picked better if we tried!! LOL :)

We named my older son George after my father, and we named our younger son, Cory after my husband's father and the names suits them. We choose our names based on our families so we have a set of names, depending on what relationships they are and in what order they are in the family. It is a German tradition and depending on whether your family is considered long living or kicks the bucket, they name the first children after the grandparents or the great-grand parents. My son named his daughter after the great grand parents so I gather that in my daughter-in-law's family they live a long time, but my family lives quite long lives so I will live long enough for my granddaughter's daughter to be named after me and probably my great granddaughter.

I named my daughter Jessica Renee. Jessica is of Hebrew origin, and its meaning is "He sees". Renee is French and means "reborn". I felt that it was a good combination. My husband liked Renee and I chose Jessica after many different name choices and arguing with my husband about it. But I thought this was a good combo and it made us both happy. The meanings were quite significant as well. Jessica meaning he sees, I knew he would see my daughter and care for her as one of Gods children and Renee meaning reborn, that my husband and I together are reborn through our daughter.

My son is Teaguen James. We had a hard time finding boy names that we like, and finally I found it in a book of Irish and Celtic names. It means poet, which I love since I'm a former English major! Also, my husband is Irish, so it worked perfectly! James is my father in law's first name, and we named our son after him.

My daughters name is Sena Marie. Right after we found out we were having a girl my fiance had a dream about our daughter. In his dream everyone was calling her Sena. When he woke up and told me about his dream I knew that was her name. And we gave her Marie as a middle name since that is my middle name.

My little girl is Marianna Ciara. I picked Marianna because I always liked the name, there was no special reason. Ciara came from her daddy. He didn't really like Marianna and he picked Ciara as a first name, but I wasn't budging!
