Yes, I always donate clothes i don't wear anymore. If there are things not useful for me i know it will be useful for some people. I give it to church foundation to make sure it will be given to kids and street children or to whoever needs it the most.

I have donated to my local birth center where I gave birth to my daughter. They are a non profit organization and do a lot to help the community so I always like to give a little when I can. I also try to give to the March of Dimes when I can.

Through my job at the YMCA we can donate a certain amount out of every paycheck towards a fund that helps people be members if they cannot afford it. I only get $3 taken out of every paycheck, but at least I am helping! It is a very good feeling to help others!

Yes I donate my old clothes to the charities from time to time. I think it's good because I don't need them and it would be such a waste to throw them into the trash when they are still wearable. I also donate some books to some organizations, in turn they give those to the people in need or sell them really cheap so that the poorer families can benefit. Sometimes, I donate money to special events, like the Tsuinami in Thailand or some major world disasters like that, but I don't do it very often as I have to really watch my budget. But I am really glad and it makes me feel great that I am happy to hear.

Just as you, once in a while i used to donate my clothes, books to the needty poor. Also, I practice to give 10% of extra earnings, through share trading, online, that i get to the orphanage nearby. I find some peace and solace in me, when i see the joy in the face of the young ones in the orphanage, when they see me.

I have been giving all my life. It comes naturally for me. It is the way that I was raised. My mother was a very giving person. It did not matter what someone needed, if she had it, she would give it. My sister's and I definitelty picked up my mother's love for giving. I never know when I may need something, so I love to give to others.

i donate on a regular basis, all clothing no longer used, any items that are still usable go to the goodwill. i also make cloth diapers as a business and donate to needy families when i have the time and materials. i also donate my time to help with childcare for others when needed and help others learn to sew their own diapers so they can save tons of money for their lil babes.

I usually donate money as I have young kids thus could not give my time to do volunteering work; I might do it with the kid when they grow up and let them experiencing it. I am selective is giving donations. And my giving is depending on my situation at that point of time, for example, I just gotten a bonus, I might be more willing to give. Else I will empty all the small change from my pocket and donate into the collection tins. In my country, there are few cases of Charity organization misused of the donated fund and we are talking in ten thousand and millions of dollars. That makes me selective in giving. At time, I will prefer to give the money to the people directly, knowing that 100% of the money will be put to good use by the recipient. And if you donate it to a charity organization, part of the money will goes into admin cost to run the organization, in the end, probably only 70% of the money goes to the people needing it.

I am a member of the Freecycle community so I am always giving away items I can no longer use or no longer want. I always make sure that they are in useable condition before passing them on.

Hey when tsunami held in India, I was there in and donated clothings for the victims. I am still really very much touched with the mishappening that took place there in India. Although, these donations could never ever make those perons as before but yes I do believe that helping these victims would really make them able to lead their life in future in some comfort!!!!!
