Some of my friends in mylot !!!

I have nearly two hundred friends in mylot. I have turned notify on in the case of nearly 40 friends. I use to respond to their discussions regularly. Only if the topic is too unsuitable for me will I avoid any of their discussions unresponded. The sad thing is some of them never respond to my discussions. Inspite of this I continue to participate in theirs. Now if you respond regularly to the discussions opened by your friend and that friend never respond to discussions opened by you will you 1. Stop responding to any further discussions opened by that friend, 2. Delete that member from your friend list, 3. Put the notify off or 4. Continue to respond to their discussions if they are found interesting.

I have around 140 friends right now. I have them all on notify. I do not respond to their every discussion, as sometimes I do not have anything to add. It may be something I cannot reply to, and there are just times when I find myself without words. I try to respond to at least a few discussions per friend. I know that many of them do not respond to my every discussion either. Some not at all sometimes. I leave them on notify on, because they may post something I am interested in. I have only ever deleted spammers from my friends list and one other person that started at least 20 discussions a day, but they were rubbish. My inbox was always filled with the rubbish discussions. I try to be fair with my friends, but to be honest, sometimes some discussions I just have nothing to say. Maybe some would say I should answer their every discussion, but with 140 friends, let's say each made only 1 discussion per day, I would have to respond to 140 discussions a day. Right now working & being a mom, I only have enough time for maybe 20.

Dear abroji I don't know how many friends I am having in my friend list because my friend list keep on increasing day by day .. I have also turned notify on .. but hardly check my email .. I used to avoid discussions from my friends if I find that I cannot participate in it .. though the discussions are nice .. but I feel like I am out of words to respond to the discussion. Yes I agree with you that this is the saddest thing that some of our friends never care to respond to our discussions .. but our discussion should be interesting enough .. then only we should expect some reply from them. If my friend never replies to my discussion then this is what I do : Continue to respond to their discussions if they are found interesting. Well happy mylotting to you my dear friend :)

I have notify on to all my friends. I respond to 50 discussions a day. So i require 50 discussions and let that be my friends'. Another advantage of answering the postings of my friends discussion is they don't rate negatively.

That is excellent. 50 responses a day. I don't set any such target, and I am not sure if I have ever posted fifty responses in any single day. I can understand what you tell is right from the fact that you respond to each of my discussion since becoming friends here. Thank you Mr. Murthy for your response.

First of all why u are so negative about your friends. Is it true or it is just your feeling. How your friends response to your topics or disscussions if they don't know more about it. First of all be positive about your friends. And if your thinking is right towards your friends than I think you have to continue respond to the discussions if you found them interesting because you had no loss in it even you are paid for it. If I respond regularly to the disscussions opened by my friend and that friend never respond to my disscussion then I will never stop to respond to his disscussion.I definetly responds the disscussion if I found interest in them.

My dear friend, I am very particular to respond to my friends discussions. I don't have any negetive thoughts about my friends. The only thing is that I thought this is a debatable topic and hence I start this discussion. It is natural to receive versatile responses. Thank you for yours.

Hi there Abroji and other myLotters =D I would definitely continue to respond to their discussions EVEN if they do not respond in my discussions if they are found interesting for me =D It does not matter which discussions you post in, you still gain money from posting a response in ANY discussion you reply with good quality am i not right? Anyways, i always just browse the "today's top discussions" first and then i look at my discussions from my interests, especially the one which has to do with making money online, since i am currently having a low output here in myLot :( I also respond to those started by my friend once in a while if they seem interesting to me. I have made quite a few friends here on myLot and they are all quality posters!, just like me =D

Yes, we need interesting discussions to respond. If such discussions come from such non responding friends then why should we delete them from our list? You are right. Thank you for your response.

No problem! =D Participating in as many interesting discussions in myLot is the way to make money! =D although not a lot..... i have posted about 15-20 posts today and have only gotten $0.32 which is less than i expected, quite disappointing actually, but since the School holidays are starting over here in Australia, i hope i can get mroe time out to chat on myLot and provide more high quality responses =D such as this one...... so i can earn more money. Do you know any good online paying sites to make money for free? which pays by paypal? if you do please tell me! it would be greatly appreciated

Hi abroji , I have almost 400 friends now , I accept everyone as I don't like to offend anyone . There is no way that I could know if they all answered my discussions or not , I do like to goto the discussions my friends have written tabs and try to go through them , but this is an almost impossible task , ,,I always try to answer back someone who has responded to my discussions , I try to encourage new people too as I can still remember how strange and lonely it can feel to be on a new site , I just hope that I never offend anyone , we are only human my friend and can just do our best Take care xx

Well friend, it does hurts me a bit when i dont get response from that individual. I will reduce the number of discussion i respond but then i wont remove them from my list. When i find that the individual responds to all others discussion other than mine then i could think of deleting them. Anyway, if i find some discussion interesting then i could respond to that even if they dont respond to my discussions. I have my own rules in responding to discussions. If i find a discussion with many responses then i usually stay away from it. I think that i could respond to a discussion which has less response than the ones which has many.

That is quite a defferent approach. You avoid discussions with so many responses! I am of the opinion that if the discussion is worth responding to us, we may respond to it. Then everybody will have their own personal resolutions, as you stated. Thank you mdchennai for responding to this discussion.

To me it doesn't matter if they respond or not as maybe the topics I am discussing are of no interest to them. I respond to their discussions if they are interesting otherwise I don't. I don't remove them from my friend's list.

Hello, abroji,i also turn on the notify buttons for nearly all of my friends,it is impossible for me to reply to everyone because i do not have enough time to do so,I do not really mind whether they will reply to me or not,if they do not,it is fine, they will still be on my friend list,if they have good discussions which can pique my interest,i will reply to them anyway.

It will look somehow responding to someone who doesn't respond to your discussion. Whenever I come to Mylot, I keep responding to discussion without considering who and who is not responding to my discussions. But if I experience the person doesn't post or respond to discussion, I use to delete such people. Thanks

well.i will choose option 4 .i dont see who is responding and who is not responding to my discussions. Why do i make here freinds means i want to get good exposure to my discussions and it helps me to get good responses at the same time i can get easily the disscussions of my interest from them.If the topic is unsuitable for me i dont respond to it .if it is interesting i will respond to it

I understand how frustrated it is when you tried your very best to respond those friend but you got none of their respond. In some cases I do agree some times they don't reply because of not familiar with the topic of discussion or for some reason they have no time to do so . But i don't agree if they always give the same excuses for not responding to their friend who had respond to their every discussion they posted. However,i will still respond to their discussion if i found they are interested although they did not respond to mine hope they appreciated it. Ps: I really think you deserve the best from your friend ,i can tell you always try to respond every of discussions (although i did not post very often).Thank you for that..:)

Thank you very much for your response. I don't feel about some freinds not responding to my discussion, but it was a fact and I thought this would make a good topic for discussion. So I posted it. I will continue to respond to discussions on topics suitable for me to comment upon. All the best.

Flankly i would take the last option. As i am going through the same phase i can understand how do you feel about the situation. I always reply my friends discussions if i found it interesting. I dont find many of them responding to my discussions.

Just do what you want. For me, just commenting back on the responses is a lot of work. If I post more than 1 discussion a day, it is quite insane. I still try to find time and go through the first 50 or 80 pages of discussions started by my friends to answer what I can answer too. You won't believe how taxing the whole thing is.
