Is there anyone out there who would like to talk '60s music with me?

I can still sing along with most of the '60s songs I hear, and I ran the category in music lyrics on Jeopardy tonight. I was such an avid fan and had several hundred 45s.

Is that the time of Diana Ross and the Twist and those sort of songs? I use to listen to that, but I have always listened more to 80's music. I am a lover of almost all music.

Yes, you're pretty much in the right era. I loved '60s rock, hated most of what they put out in the '70s, and loved the '80s. My son is 24 and loves to talk oldies with me. He's a real music buff He and I both are like you and love most kinds of music. Thanks for your response.

I love a lot of the music from the sixties. There is a really good radio station here that plays great oldies -- I listen frequently. It is amazing that I remember all of the words to those songs --even those that I haven't heard in ages!

The 60s was the era that I grew up in, so naturally it is the period that appeals to me most. I have a very good selection of 60s recordings on my computer which I play quite often, and even have several from the 50s which was the start of that trend in music. I resurrected a few that I had not played for some time recently due to the festive period, when I was playing Phil Spectre's Christmas Album.

They don't music now a days like they did in the 60's and 70's. I 100% agree. I think The Beatles will always be my favorite band.
