Fishing Is BORING

To me the recreation of FISHING is boring.what ar some ideas to make it a more entertaining past time?

its worse if you dont catch anything...ive only gone fishing maybe twice in my life and it was an ok time with my pops...not my first choice for spending my leisure time...

I like to read while I fish, although I don't fish often. Fishing with my boyfriend is fun, we set our poles between the rocks and "wait" for the fish to bite, it's funny, we never seem to catch anything...
