Do you want a webserver at home? Check some resources: www.dslwebserver.com www.dynip.com www.no-ip.com Abyss Webserver www.tzo.com Beware: - your ISP can block your account. - SDSL is better for this than usual ADSL. Do you want to make money selling hosting? - Consider invest in host reselling, many reputable hosting companies offer reseller accounts for shared hosting. - Consider invest even less, for affiliate business, getting commissions for referring others to web hosting companies plans.

If you are using Windows, you need to install Microsoft IIS (Internet Information Services). Once you installed it, go to www.whatismyip.com to get the IP address of your computer. Then you can type that IP to the Address bar of a browser (http://you.ip.address/). . Your website will be displayed. If you can change the files and folders. Usually it is under "C:\Inetpub\wwwroot". If you need a domain name directed to your IP. Then you need to set it up with your Domain Registar. If you want to use your own DNS. It will be very complicated. The work can't be described with a few sentense.
