I want to go shopping, and I'm thinking maybe a spa for a facial or haircut too:) I'm going the day after my birthday so I'll have some extra cash and I want to go shopping!! I have to hit a LUSH store up too while I'm there:) What else?

Does NY have Lush? I always thought it wasn't available in the US at all. Anyway, I would head out to Woodbury Commons for outlet shopping. They have really high end items at less than retail price. If you want to save on sales tax, you can take a trip to Jersey Gardens in NJ but their outlet stores are not all high end (no Cole Haan, Burberry, Gucci, for example). This has nothing to do with shopping but if you will be there early September, there's the US Open to watch too.

Not only NY has LUSH, last time I went to Chicago and they have a LUSH in one of the malls too! It's really interesting! I think they do both online shopping and retail stores in the US!

Statue of Liberty - Magnificent Lady in harbor.
On a clear day the view from atop The Empire State building is fantastic. Not real expensive to get up there. Also, The Statue of Liberty recently reopended. I never made it to her, but she is a magnificent site. Take a walk through Times Square, if you like alot of people. It's a very busy place. Walking down 5th avenue will give you a variety of shopping, some high end and some low end. I enjoyed 6th avenue (The Avenue of the Americas). There are benches where you can sit and watch the people. On a nice day it was very interesting. You will be delighted if you can take in a Broadway show. Try to visit Central Park during the day. It is truly beautiful. Rgardless, stay safe and have fun. PEACE

Well, the best thing to do is to try Elizabeth Arden's for the spa treatments; go to Bloomies(Bloomingdales), the orginal Macy's on Herald Square for some shopping, and do some research on the spas. I only mentioned Elizabeth Arden because that was the only spa I could remember at the top of my head. Enjoy your trip.

I thought spa and facial is better done in Asia as it is cheaper. I think shopping is a better idea. There is a bus that you can take from the central bus station to bring you to new jersey where a shopping outlet is located. I went crazy shopping and buying so much things there. I remembered it was drizzling and I was lugging many huge shopping bags around in the rain.
