opera browser is a quick browser very much like internet explorer.. though it has a few features of its own like mail client, torrent client and tabbed browsing and voice it also has its own download manager.. and to top it all it has few of its own set of shortcuts that makes the browsing so much fun..

I use a lot of browsers. I am a computer technician, so I try to use quite a few so that I become familiar with them. Right now I have Firefox, Opera, K-melion, Maxthon, Avant, Flock, and Internet explorer. I wouldnt really say that opera is any better or worse than any of those others, I do kinda like the SpeedDial feature in it though. I have all my websites and blogs set up in the SpeedDial, so it makes it real handy to move from one to the other. As far as a favorite goes, I am still looking. haha

apple provides a comparision on its website for safari. you may have a look if you trust apple. Opera is usually fast. It faster than firefox when it comes to multiple tabs. firefox is clogged in case of multi-tabbed browsing. the normal 28 mb usage of firefox.exe as seen in task manager rises as high as 58 mb on normal cases of tabbed browsing. the install file is also quite smaller. it is abt 2 mb versus 15 mb of IE7.

Opera's zoom works 100 times better than in Firefox. You can zoom in images, text, embedded content (like flash) and also input/textarea/buttons all together, making it more effective than just a text-zoom like in Firefox. Opera also have a built-in email client and an effective rss reader, better than live bookmarks in Firefox. You can just read them like you read your emails, you can also archive rss feeds to read them later, without being removed in the next rss update.
