It's best not to think about it when you are going to sleep. Try thinking about something funny, something lovely and beautiful. That will help take your mind away from the scary thoughts.

I can't fall asleep when I'm afraid. If my brain is full of fear and stressed nerve,it's impossible for me to sleep. As long as my mood is silent I fall asleep soon.

If your scared of going to bed after watching a scary movie, try watch a comedy immediately afterwards if you can, otherwise switch on all the lights and see that there is nothing in there and have a nice sweet beverage like hot chocolate.

I lay in bed...that's it. Lol. I don't try to force sleep...I don't try to stay awake and do other stuff...I just lay down in my bed until I fall asleep. In the morning I won't even remember falling asleep, it just happened quickly. Or you could try to think of something that isn't scary. Think of a favorite movie, something nice/funny. Just don't dweel on whatever is scaring you! :)

I hate it when this happens to me. I fancy myself to be a very brave girl:P But sometimes, when my mind is very active and it starts on the thought of ghosts and other creepy things, I get so scared that I can't really get to sleep. I imagine that something is standing by my bedroom door just staring at me. When this happens I try my best to think of other things, but when it does not work, I turn the lights on. LOL! Very funny really, because I cannot sleep when the lights are on. But I feel a little secure with the lights on when I'm feeling scared.
