Do you like being TEASED?

I confess I am quite a "teaser". Teaser as in one who teases others... not the striptease kind! :P But I guess clarification is in order. When I tease people, I tease with no malign intention. I don't believe in making merry on the misery of others. It is all done in good natured spirit, in the name of fun. I confess again that I am quite a spoilsport lol. I like teasing others but I don't like that much to be teased. If I am in a good mood or if it is just a mild nudge occasionally, that's fine. But anything more would see me getting irritated. What about you? Do you tease others? Do others tease you? Do you like teasing others? Do you like being teased? How good are you at taking teases? Do you get mad or join in the fun? Any stories to tell? Do share your thoughts.:)

I hate being teased. My husband likes to push my buttons and I don't know why he does it because he hates it when I explode. His cousin will tease me too, just to get me riled. Why do it? My husband does it to my kids too and they don't like it. I have to tell him to stop. There is a difference between joking and teasing. I think a joke is given up right away where is teasing is persistent. For example, my husband's cousin will say something like, "Yeah, we're going on a golf trip to North Carolina." (This is pure example). I will laugh knowing it is a joke but he will persist that it is true and that they have made all the plans. Make plans like that without telling your wife? Yeah, I'm going to get riled. But a little witty sarcasm is usually given up right away. At least with kids anyway. A quick reaction from the child and then immediate reassurance that one is just kidding is how I handle things. I like a good joke as well as the next guy, but to persistently tease and torment is over the top.

tsk tsk - You are in the running for best response!
Haha... maybe it is just to see how far you can be pushed? I know this may sound cruel but when you are teasing someone, that thought doesn't always cross your mind. But I will stop when that person is "offended" or wants me to stop. :P

What an interesting thread. "sarcastic" I happened to be in no mood today. So no, I don't like to be tease if I'm having a bad day. Other days, I will gamely join in the battle of the teaser. I don't know if I'm a good teaser. I only know that there is a proper time to tease someone. If I know that the person is under a lot of blues, then I won't tease him/her at all.

Yea, sometimes you can take teases so well but other times (like now), you will get so mad and perceive everything with a sarcastic tone.:P It's alright baby, what you need is more than 3 hours of sleep a day. Get a good rest and sleep restful.:)

I like teasing the others but only when I'm sure the person can except teasing. So I take little time to learn someone and after I start teasing. Now for being teased.........it's nice but only from people that I give them the *free*tease me,if not and he did......as my friends tell me I can be dangerous lol: The king of teasers is my brother. He loves teasing people and I can't even say how much teases me.When I'm not at good mood and try tell him stop ,he always says to me *as much I love a person as much I tease*...so after these announcement what can I do except adore him....

I don't mind it if it is said out of fun and laughter. Sometimes I don't realise that someone is just playing for fun and I end up taking it the wrong way. I am very weary of who I tease because even though I may think it's funny, others might not so if I get teased first, then I know that it may be ok to tease back. :P:P

Awww and I thought you were going to do a striptease for us there wizzy honey - talk about raising a persons hopes! lol I am quite good at teasing others and I also take being teased quite well - as long as it is done in a nice and not in a nasty way! If someone is getting nasty about it I am usually very good at putting them in their place! lol These are quite good skills to have when you work in a pub! xxx

I love to tease and be teased but I have to admit there are limits. I have an uncle that will tease and tease and tease until you are ready to smack him, yet when you tease him and pick at him he gets mad! He also doesn't know when to stop. So while it's fun to tease and be teased, there are also limits!

If I am in a particularily happy mood, I love to tease my husband. i can be quite sarcastic (as can he) and we usually enjoy it. but I really have to be in the mood, as does he. And since we are rarely in the mood at the same time, an argument quickly ensues. (; But it still doesn't stop me.. I love to pester him and get under his skin, but when he does it to me, I become quite annoyed. (:

Ok true confession time - I am a teaser also and at the same time do not appreciate being teased myself. Afraid when others tease me I tend to take it personally and am more 'hurt' than anything else. I have however on a few occasions been able to join in the fun but it was 'forced' and didn't come naturally - working on that currently :)

No, because it makes me blush. Honestly if i am teasing in a guy i really get develop on the guy who tease on me. But if they've found out I always try to deny it. It's really ashame to tell the truth if i like someone.

I like to tease, but there are times, if I am caught unawares, that I don't like others teasing me. I am always teasing my wife's mother who is now in her 80s and it does seem to cheer her up a lot. But, when she tries to tease me back I am more than ready for her LOL.. She's gonna get me one day though I am sure :-)

Being the oldest of 7, I know what it is like to be teased. My brothers are still very good at it. I don't tease others, because I particulary don't enjoy being teased. But I take it light heartedly because I know it is all in fun, but on occassion, enough is enough and I say no more. It doesn't happen to often anymore, since we all are grown and gone our separate ways. But family get togethers, I can be assured that someone will tease someone before the day is over.

I like to tease my friends, family and relatives. I also like to play practical jokes on them particularly my best friend because she is so gullible. But then over the years, I make it a point to tease only those whom I really know otherwise I foresee a fight in the making and I do not want that to happen. As for being teased, I try to be a good sport about it. However, if I am not in the mood then I might just become a b___h and snap at that person. :)

I could take it or leave it. Sometimes I see the funny side and others just do drive me insane to the point of steaming hot air out. I'm okay, but when it cross a line and then that point I'm not at all. (far from) Kudos.. ~Joey

Generally I don't mind some teasing as long as it's not extreme or in bad taste. I can laugh at myself and accept jokes even when they are at my expense - generally :). As for being a teaser, I"m mildly so. I am careful with it because I know that many people don't take it too well, so I respect that. But when I find people like me, that are ok with some teasing I enjoy it ;)

Hmmm I'm not really a teaser even to children. I think my husband is one of the worst teasers that I've ever met and he does it to a point of me losing my temper then he wonders why I lost it! He himself can't handle being teased but he loves to dish it out. He does it less now than he used to because he knows it drives me mad. Some examples of him teasing me: We're due to go out in an hour or so and he's not back from work. He phones me and says he has to work late and therefore won't be able to go. I sign with annoyance and then he walks through the front door saying he was just teasing. It's a weekend, we have to get up and get ready to go to a wedding. He is supposed to be driving. He takes 2 hours to get ready and an hour before we're due to leave he says he's sleepy and wants to go back to bed. I lose my cool and then he says he's teasing! I could go on but I'm getting wound up just writing about it, I don't know why but most of his teasing of me is done just before we're going somewhere together and it doesn't really bode well for my mood when we go out if I've lost it with him because of his teasing. I try to keep my cool but more often than not his silliness just makes me angry. I don't find it funny so I don't know why he keeps doing it. Often he just says he thinks I'm cute when I'm angry, but I don't think he'll find it cute when I bash him with a cricket bat for pushing me over the edge LOL!

I don't mind being teased if it's someone I'm close to. If someone teases me that is a stranger or I know but I don't know well, then it will really get on my nerves. It feels to me that teasing someone, even if it's good spirited, should only be done if you actually know that person. When complete strangers try to tease me, or if my hair cutting person that I haven't seen in three or four years teases me, it annoys me to no end. And usually, it just makes me feel plain embarrassed because I'm good around people I don't know well and I don't know what to say. And then when I don't say anything, I get teased even more. Sometimes I want to scream "STOP!!!" But like I said, if I know the person and I'm close to them, like my friends or family, it's fine for them to tease me. We tease each other. But that's all fine and dandy because we're comfortable around each other. You know what I'm saying?

My pool with baby goats looking in - Even the goats where afraid of the water. I should have been more carefull
I love to be teased and love to tease others. If I did not love to be teased I would not have told everyone one at myLot that I fell in my pool with only my nightgown on and it went up over my head. LOL I told my family and friends. It was pretty funny when you think about it. I am 80lbs over weight and am 48 and not at all sexy the teasy got bad from my friends when they accused me of trying to scare the gardner. LOL I have the bug man, pool man, and gardner who come into my yard. Thank goodness none of them came into my yard when I was 1/2 naked in the pool. LOL I probably would have scared them. I did go to Wal Mart that day and tease my friend that I was going to buy sexy nightees to fall in the pool in next time. hahahaha OH well all in fun I am ok and so are they.

I used to hate being teased when I was younger. I used to react with either crying or getting upset. So therefore I would get teased quite a lot. Now that I am older it is still fun to tease me, but I feel it is all in good fun :)
